Movie Re-Release: Escape and Sacrifice

Yeah, available now from the main page of 3dmm.com ... Thanks SG for putting it up as many of you weren't around to see it when it came out (that was around 1998). Anyway, leave your opinions.

But anyhow, I just saw Escape and Sacrifice for the first time (that's how far behind I am), and I would have to say that out of all of the 3D movies I've ever seen, this had the best plot out of all of them, and I haven't watched a 3D drama that I have been interested in until today. I was watching very intently through-out the entire movie, and this surpasses any drama I have seen in my time in the community.

Also, I think those who dissed it don't understand drama's or were just following one persons beliefs so that you could feel equal to that particular person. But I really think that if you didn't understand it back then, to either watch it again, or read a copy of the script. Even though it is a fair bit long.

I also enjoyed the soundtrack which fitted very well, after all it is quite hard to get a lot of music that was used in the movie due to it's date and when it was set etc

One bad part of it though was it ended, seriously, the tension was building when it had finished, which I spose was meant, but it did annoy me, particularly when I saw that E&E2 was supposed to be out mid 2001, as I would be very eagre to watch it, but I spose personal commitments got in the way.

But, the only flaws I really noticed was a bit of animation and scenery not being in the correct position (eg, hands going through walls and such) but nothing major. Überall - eine fantastiche film!

9/10

Better late than never hey?

I urge the rest of you to write proper reviews about this movie, if you saw it the first time and didn't like it, or even if you did, watch it again. You may have an appreciation for it now.

Besides, we all need a good read, judging by how dead this board has been lately.

Overall, I LOVED THE STORY! I'm doing WW2 at the mo at school, so it was perfect.

----------------------------------

Movie: Escape and Sacrifice - by Tony Teulan

Seeming as i hadn't seen this, the commy's opinions gave me a biased view. Hewever, i decided to watch it.
I was pleasantly surprised. What a great story. Voices at some places were perfect, others were cut short,
repeated or muffled by the sounds. Some scenes were very detailed, others were slapped together by a two year old.
Camera movements were joggy & the scenery sometimes jogged. Animations werent the best either, but seeming as when
it was made, this is a great film with an amazing story. Roll on E&S2! Good work Tony!

What a god damn boring movie.

Ugly scenery.

Bad, uninspired camera angles.

Ridiculous (German) voice acting. "Foo-rer" Bwahahahaha

Terrible animation. The scene where a guy falls of a bridge into the water, AAAAAAAAAARG!!!

These kind of movies just don't work in 3dmm.

Yeah, for E&S2, I'm going to get people who can do the German accents (for the German characters) - the people playing Germans in 'Back In Time' (my live-action film, it's not 3dmm).

Just because I made it doesn't mean I can't hate it...

It's once of those scenes that have a lot of little actions which was done when I didn't have the patience OR the animating skill to animate it properly - the push, the paper falling out, the push, the push back, the hit, the block by Jodie, the bending of Peter over Jodie to see she's ok, him getting hit, the other guy going off...

but yeah. If I'd had more patience that scene would have been better.

Crocodile Dundee?? Nay. Crocodile Hunter's what you'll call me. Anyway, give me a sample of you doing German and we'll see... I won't be doing E&S2 for awhile however, got the mall-heist movie and the murder one to do first.

if E&S was released in '98 then I wouldn't have seen it !

yeah, it was 2000.

and it's still as terrible as it once was, if not more so now.

The animation is absolutely insulting.

Don't care for plot, but that's just me.

98!!?!? Whoa! Jesus Tony, you're about two years off. 3dmm.com didn't even exist in '98, and when you released it, the site had already been shut down!

Where the hell did your concept of time go?

Tony wasn't even in the community in 1998. That was when OZ was running MAMT and pretty much in charge of everything. He didn't close MAMT until November of that year, and I know the first time I ever heard Tony's name wasn't until after I had opened 3dmm.com and was admining the guestbook personally.
