It's the one where they spent a third of the movie shooting up into the air at nothing

The Last Jedi was a great looking but extremely shit movie. I haven't watched any of the OG Star Wars films since

glad to see you are still posting

You really think phantom menace is the worst star wars? I actually think it's the best of the prequels, I think it got an unfair rap because everyone was disappointed at the time. To me, it's the most "Star Wars" of all the movies post original trilogy. It actually reminds me a lot of return of the Jedi.

The underwater city is cool, the submarine segment is awesome, the droid battles look really cool, the pod race is amazing (honestly one of the coolest sequences in all of star wars, up there with Hoth and the Death Star run), and the lightsaber duel with Darth maul is fucking bad ass (probably the best lightsaber fight in star wars). It also uses practical effects a lot of the time, unlike the later movies, which makes it feel more authentic. Jar jar is annoying but honestly he's barely in the movie, he has like 12 lines. The main problem is just the annoying little kid, but what are you gonna do. I still think it's the best star wars movie since Jedi. Low praise but still

Attack of the clones on the other hand is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Phantom Menace used to be my favourite prequel. I love the pod race especially. But last time I watched it it definitely went down a bit in my estimation, partly because the Jar Jar stuff was more annoying than I remembered, and there’s SO MUCH of it. That being said, I think I’d still prefer it to Revenge of the Sith if not for that movie having a fantastic opening sequence and Ian McDiarmid having an amazing time hamming it up (also one of the only good parts of episode 9)

The Phantom Menace does not hold up at all except for 12 seconds of Darth Maul at the end and 20% off the pod race scene. The whole movie needs to be re-edited.

Attack of the Clones aged better, though still is 70% unbearable.

I don't think the rest are worth much discussion. Is it that I liked Revenge of the Sith over Return of the Jedi?

Return of the Jedi falls out after Bobba Fett dies. Even before then it's chunky. The rest is just zzzzzzz and probably only holds up if you don't know the twist ending which is meaningless now with the prequels.

Revenge of the Sith is meaty and flows nicely into episode 4. Doesn't drag nearly as much as most movies.

I've yet to watch the prequels but the original trilogy is pretty great.

The Matrix is the best film by a huge margin. My personal favorite scene is the initial meeting between Neo and Morpheus. Reloaded is the "in-between" picture but it is still tightly edited and has some good action set-pieces I'd put it at number 2. Revolutions is massively bloated. Resurrections I'd say is on equal footing to Revolutions. Both are earn points, but in very different categories.

I think it's gotta be...

The Matrix
The Matrix Reloaded
The Matrix Revolutions
The Matrix Resurrections

The Matrix remains probably my favourite movie ever, though. Saw it in IMAX a few months ago and was still superb. And there is plenty to like about Reloaded and Revolutions, in my opinion. Resurrections was just... misguided.

I think the order they came out is literally my ranking.

1. The Matrix
2. Reloaded / Revolutions (pretty much the same for me)
3. Resurrections

I've watched the first half of the first Matrix movie, when the movie first started I was confused if I accidentally skipped 30 minutes ahead and laughed at how ridiculous and fast paced the movie was. Then it slowed down and made sense.
