Why do different schools have different spring break?

One of the weirdest logic is that different schools have different spring breaks. This week is my spring break and my siblings spring break was last week. Why can't every school in America have the same spring break?

I was looking forward to going to Virginia Beach this spring break until last week when I realize that spring break in every school is different
