Guys we’re reaching a new low rn less bitching about Minecraft in the vc, more posting on 3dmm.com. Dooglords going in the right direction with this Poems thread I suggest we all chip in.

Damn, that was quite the dramatic collapse. I wonder if discord actually is killing the website, despite my previous insistence that it isn't.

I think maybe people are just making an inordinate amount of threads in ttf.

Testing forum posts count in the stats section afaik I do think the increase use of the voice chat and Minecraft has made a affect on post counts I don’t think it’s the discord server specifically tho

I doubt Minecraft has much to do with it. 3dmmland was if anything more into Minecraft ten years ago.

Also apparently my computer recognizes "3dmmland" as a valid word.

I've been saying this, the internet has gravitated towards more real time interactions. Timelines, chat rooms, etc. Bulletin boards are just too old to support that.

Damn that is kinda sad. Yeah discord kinda ate this site's lunch. There's not really much help for it though. Times change, new modes of communication become more prevalent, I guess it's no real surprise.

I guess the forum will probably always exist to some extent, I'm sure some months will be more active than others but eventually it will probably be really slow with only a few posts per month.

i can think of two other forums that are way more dead than this place: dkc atlas (for all things donkey kong related) has maybe only 5 posts per month on the whole board because of the admin disabling registrations a few years ago to combat a rampant spambot problem, and the flyff forum (lame mmorpg game from 2004 that no one plays anymore) which usually only gets one new post or topic every 1-2 years

also the point i was making by bringing this all up is that if you ever think this forum is dead, there are other forums out there that are so inactive they are actually worthy of being considered dead
