it seems like i used to visit alot more websites back in the early/mid 2000's. I was always checking up on different forums or browsing the Games Workshop website to look at warhammer models or checking out RPG Maker sites to look for assets or see games that people made. The Onion, Something Awful, different people's blogs and stuff. Webcomics. Even second-rate comedy sites like Fark and Pointless Waste of Time still had some funny pieces. Going to websites for different shows and games that I liked, like Dragon Ball Z to look at super saiyan level 3 goku or reading about how to get gold chocobos in FF7.

Nowadays I pretty much just visit the same few websites over and over. I used to be really into blogs but I kinda stopped checking them. Mostly it's just 3dmm, facebook, instagram, youtube and twitter.... just like every other fucking normie dumbass. I also follow the Dungeon Synth forums and the UnReal World forums but they aren't particularly active.

Neocities (not to be confused with geocities)
is an awesome web hosting/subdomain service. I have some sites there, and so does plop. You're pretty much given complete control to make whatever you want.

Theres also Archive.org. Which is super useful for finding anything from abandonware, to older versions of websites.

Something Awful (forums)
Messenger (for talking to my friends without having to go on the main Facebook site)
Twitter (for following my friends and laughing at stupid bullshit)
Criticker/Letterboxd (for movie rating stuff)
Wikipedia (all the facts about all the things)
AV Club until recently (still probably the best site for keeping up with pop culture news but so much worse than it used to me and obsessed with outrage culture clickbait bullshit these days)
YouTube (funny cat videos)
Various torrent sites (for various torrents)

Like Christo I definitely used to read way more sites but in the social media age it feels like more things have been consolidated

Man, it's funny to think about now, but I actually used to read the Onion religiously. I loved that site. Av Club also like, informed a big part of my music & film taste for a while. Back in the early/mid 2000's it was cool to like, listen to radiohead and watch Criterion films. Maybe it still is, idk.

Av Club sucks sooooo bad now lol. I can't believe I used to watch/listen/read almost everything they recommended. Idk if I changed and got more cynical, but somewhere around 2014-2015 the whole Onion website became really shrill democratic party propaganda. I still randomly look at the Onion every once in a while and the little "infographic" things are still pretty funny

The internet seems more corporate and less user-centered nowadays. I joined 3dmm.com since it seemed to have more of a sense of community compared to websites like Instagram and Youtube.

Anyways my favorite website is goatse.cx

Okay, well goatse.cx before the owners of the domain tried making a quick buck or a new gimmick from those images at every opportunity they could, instead of actually showing the images.
