Here we are! After six weeks of trials and triumphs, hardship and heartbreak, and all the drama and arguments that color this competition, the community has spoken - the winner of 3dmm.com Popularity Survivor 2021 has been chosen! But before we reveal who it is, it's time to give out a few awards and commendations.

Well I have to say, this competition went a lot better than I originally thought it would. I frankly expected about three people to vote each round, but this was actually surprisingly successful. If 2022 is as big a year for the community as 2021, maybe we'll do it again! But for now, the savage ballet is over. Special thanks to Pizza Luigi for being the biggest advocate of reviving this competition. And a huge thanks to everyone who participated. I hope you guys had fun!!!

Let this be an important lesson to you all: don’t get into a stupid, boring slapfight in the closing days of an internet popularity contest. Although probably a better lesson is to not use an internet popularity contest as the basis for anything you do, really.

I’m still kinda stupefied I got this far. I know there’s all sorts of reasons why I did better than ever before, from the smaller member size to being active in the discord, but it still feels so strange to go from how my godawful, not undeserved 2016 reputation to this barely a year after I started posting again. Thank you to all the members who couldn’t keep my name out of their mouths for even a week while I was gone, so the newbies already knew me as a community meme and were like “Bown!!!!!!!” when I returned.

I feel very good and comfortable here in a way I never did before - although of course so much of that is down to my own perceptions, not getting emotionally invested in shit that doesn’t matter or feeling the need to assert my opinion on everyone and then getting upset when it backfires. Now my effortposts are largely borne from a weird, potentially unnerving earnestness instead of the petulant shit from before. It may not be perfect here, but overall I’m glad I came back. Congrats to Rivers and Christo, too - a well-deserved top two.

You all have made this cucky tubby man very happy this day.
