ROUND 9: The Hinge of Fate

Here we are. This is the last regular elimination round. Next time, we will be voting for a winner. We are at the door to the final stage of this competition. It is time to open it and see who enters.

(NOTE: Because of the tie that caused four people to be eliminated instead of three last round, only TWO people will be eliminated this round. That way, we can still do a final four. The exception is if another tie situation makes that impossible. If that's the case, then three people will be eliminated and we'll do a final three).

Ok there’s so few people left that I’m doing a penultimate round opinions thread special!!!!!

Doog Lord - Very cool noob. Him and Plop are very similar but Doog just edges him out by not being so wildly insecure. Also his sci-fi competition entry was awesome and his work sorting out the slides for the quizzes has been essential. But he’s still very new and I don’t know him as well as I do everyone else on the list and really couldn’t tell you much about him as a person.

Dungeon Snake (Christo) - This opinion would be wildly different if this was even a few months earlier. Certainly we’ve had our share of disagreements over the years and we are almost the complete opposite person in so many ways. However, I’ve recently really come to appreciate his point of view, especially when he comes in discord and talks about games and such. And of course he’s always been one of the single funniest members this place has ever seen. But I still have some issues with the “my way of doing things is the right way everyone else is a weakling!” attitude, and I really didn’t like how he spoke to Blazer about his work issues. I get why someone like that would think in that way, absolutely, but it still came off as a lil insensitive and made me

Gorosaurus - Goro has always been the nicest person on 3dmm, but there were exceptions, and I was most definitely a big one. For years my only problem with Goro was that he obviously didn’t like me and would express it very clearly. Of course since my return it’s all different, I believe I’ve changed for the better and I can see that he appreciates that, and now I have no issue with him whatsoever and just think he’s really great. But the other voters are right that of the remaining contestants he is the least active.

Nixon - I love Nixon. But also, Nixon drives me crazy. He is so fantastically creative and skilled with the program, making the best movies of the year, and when he’s in a good mood he’s really fun to talk to and very cool. But the constant mood swings, the rage, the starting fights over nothing, is just so so so frustrating. I mean sometimes it’s funny and sometimes he’s even accurate with his community criticism but most of the time it’s like aaaahhhhh!!!! But I still like him a lot which means this is not as easy as it could be.

Old Rivers - I really like Rivers. I mean, let’s not kid ourselves here, I am acutely aware of the sheer amount of shit this guy talked about me while I was gone. Like, damn! But since I returned he’s been extremely cool and good, was the most welcoming person initially, and has become a good friend who I enjoy talking to a lot, especially when he gets drunk and starts spouting history facts. He’s kind of running this place now and I can’t think of a better person at this moment in time. But also enter a contest properly next time, bozo!!!!!
