POLL: Will you move to Open 3dmm when it releases?

Open 3dmm will be able to open vmm and 3mm files. O3dmm will let you change the position of the camera, will have lightsources, semi-transparency and more!

Or will you be a purist and use modded or vanilla 3dmm?

If Open3dmm can play old .vmm and .3mm files, that'd be the icing on the cake.

Camera movement and light sources will be a game changer with camera movement people could actually like release 3d scenes made of 3d words in their entirety without being stuck with only certain angles

I tried the demo a while ago, and although it couldn't load 99% of things in the scene (shapes, certain props), it loaded Diabolical Delightment just fine!

That being said, I'll probably use Open3DMM for captures or for model previews/modding.

It doesn't render colored gradients properly.

its merely a product of the excitement we all had for 3DMM II back in the day, i don’t know if this is similar to that in scale of work or not, and if it is then i have seen way too little to be putting all my eggs in that basket. You asked!

I can't find myself working within O3DMM, but it will provide alternate rendering styles for the finished product.
