Grocery Shopping in a foreign country

How come whenever I go to a grocery store in a foreign country, it feels like home? Well it kind of weird for tourists to go grocery shopping. The only shopping tourists should do is to buy souvenirs, brands and back-to-school supplies. Speaking of the devil, we are planning on doing a back to school shopping tomorrow. I fucking hate back to school shopping especially when I go there myself to shop. I would prefer if my mom buys me school supplies instead of taking me with her. And I pray that the back to school shopping doesn't last that long because I don't want to have foot pain when I am shopping with mom.

I went to the store on my own a few days after I turned 13, I had to go and get bread at 9:00 in the morning.

No. But I am not sure if teenagers are allowed to shop on their own in a grocery store.

The only time I shop alone is when I go general stores like 7/11 when my parents give me money to buy candies and snacks.
