Annoying, spamming, old topic bumping people were constantly banned on 3dmm.com . Why has that changed? You weren't allowed to act like an idiot and disrupt things... you got banned.

I gotta interject and say I can see where Brad is coming from, there was pretty much a near zero tolerance for this kind of stuff when I first joined. Pretty sure on my FIRST day posting here I was threatened with a ban just for my avatar not being the right size or for talking back to an older member. People were banned for spamming, bumping old threads or just being unlikable. Sometimes they didn't need to directly break a rule (or multiple) to earn a ban, they would simply prove that they were not cut out for this community, be it by their attitude or inability to adapt.

I'm not saying we should go back to those ways but it is very annoying when someone is evidentially irritating the majority of regular posters and/or driving people away or even potentially PREVENTING people from coming back when they pop in and see the amount of idiots and spamming autistic kids running amok. All the while the mods and some others insist that the kinder, more nurturing way they're handling it is the best and only acceptable way of doing it. It's not.

Also referring to Brad as some intolerant old man not getting with the times that is 2021 3dmm.com is just sad. He's not the only one who thinks this place has taken a turn for the worst, he's just one of the only ones openly voicing his opinion who still actually POSTS here. I suppose that means everyone else I know that stopped posting here because of how this place has changed should be considered intolerant, old and seemingly unwelcome back here as well? even those that are generally highly respected people in this community?

Brossy and Ben are right. The state of the board right now will only entice more annoying non-contributing noobs to the board and chase away any current/returning members. We're already seeing some senior members disappear (again) and some are getting more and more frustrated with these new kids. If you're fine with this place becoming a cesspit of autism and dreadful memes, then that's cool I guess, but don't be surprised when all the people who actually like this place/contribute leave.

Idk man, this place years ago was a dumping ground for retards. It started to gradually pick up again lately (with the twitch contests etc) and we saw an influx of new members, a lot of whom actually have potential.. But recently it's just been 12 year old autist after 12 year old autist.

The noobs with potential have disappeared because they're tired of seeing shitty movies and threads being posted. Same goes for a few of the returning members.

I think the more frustrating part is that the potential noobs, the likes of Pokerman, Schizo, Plop, Nexxius, Doog etc are all equally frustrated with these recent kids who've joined. They've been less active since the alt account Discord/Board raids.

If this newfound interest from other communities is setting a precedent that 3D Movie Maker can only be used for low effort shitposts like The Rat Movie, then it absolutely should be shunned.

In my opinion, the basis for keeping Payton/annoying people around is wrong. Keeping people around because they "didn't specifically break any rules" is not good. The majority of people who even use the site anymore want him GONE, and the only 4 votes are mostly because of sarcastic humour. If everybody was serious, the votes would be 10:2. I'd like you to find one person who browses 3dmm releases (who isn't Nixon or one of the annoying newbs) and see what they think. I guarantee that almost everyone will tell you to BAN HIM. Payton uses a VPN. Payton purposefully incites us and gets on our nerves. How does that not set something off??? Sorry Plop but just because u dont like a fellow member doesnt mean u want them gone. Mods like French Fry only ban people that breaks the rule but does he ban annoying people? No because he is a good mod. No offense Plop but if u get mod on this website, u r basically gonna take ur mod powers seriously by banning people for no reason or banning them because u dont like them. Moderators are trusted members with good qualities such as being obedient and mature. For example, French Fry has good qualities of being a mod because he doesn't ban me for being annoying but he only ban people for breaking the rules. He also banned the 8 year old kid for a good reason because he is too young to be on here and most social networking website requires a certain age (mostly 13+) to use the website.
