Does the "trumpet skeleton" really originate from 3DMM?

Hello, this is my first post (probably my only post to be honest), so sorry if this question is weird

I was thinking about the trumpet skeleton meme (sometimes known as "doot doot, thanks mr skeltal") today, the one that looks like a low resolution dithered skull playing a trumpet.

Most sources agree that Trumpet Skeleton came from 3DMM.

However, I found a video of someone showing that 3DMM's skeleton doesn't even look like the skeleton in the meme.

Before writing off that Trumpet Skeleton didn't come from 3DMM, I remembered that, well, 3DMM has decades worth of mods that could've contained the trumpet skeleton!

So, does anyone here remember the trumpet skeleton as coming from 3DMM at all, mods or not? (look at mods before 2011, as that's when the original meme was first shared)

Thanks for reading,
-Lex

I think Foone or Jayrod may have solved this mystery a while ago.

No, it's untrue. I assume the misconception comes from the fact that 3dmm has a (mildly) similar looking skeleton model, (comic) sans trumpet.

I think it has more to do with how it’s rendered
