Quick high quality audio

1. Import your sound into Audacity
2. Set Project Rate to 22050 Hz
3. Tracks > Resample > 22050 Hz
4. Tracks > Mix Stereo Down to Mono
5. File > Export as WAV > Save as type: WAV (Microsoft) > Encoding: GSM 6.10

Didn't know about this, really helpful if you're trying to make a movie and you don't wanna deal with post-processing.

Thanks, Austin!

Wasn't there a mod for 3dmm that allowed you to use uncompressed .Wav files? With faster internet it could be acceptable to use. Even if it was just for youtube capture.

Perhaps obsolete 747 jets could be repurposed as homes for people in third world countries. One way I can imagine delivering the airplanes would be to deliberately crash them on the intended parcel of land.

This doesn't work for me. When I do "mix stereo down to mono," the audio becomes stretched out and slowed down.

Here's a rough solution.

Open the "change speed" effect in the "effect" tab. Take note of the duration.

Then, resample and mix down to mono, blah blah blah.

Afterwards, take the duration from before and open the change speed window again. Drag the slider until it resembles its' original duration.

Oh, make sure you set the project rate to 22050Hz after you import the sound.
Mixing down with a mismatched sample rate can result in playback speed issues.

It doesn't work very well for sounds/music that's longer than a minute, since it cuts off.
