I know it's old news, but about a decade ago, Pizza Hut down in the middle east wound up making pizza with cheeseburger sliders as the goddamn crust, and I don't think there is anything more American that's unamerican.

It's like the entire crust is large, and wide with several indents in them. Think of the crust as the bottom patty, and inside each indent has a burger patty with the works, and is presented as such connected to the pizza.
