90'S - 2000'S ROOMS ARE REALLY COOL!

I don't know why, but 90's - early 2000's rooms seem really cool.
I don't know if it's because I have a fascination for older computer setups, but old setups look kinda cooler than new ones.

EDIT: By the way, I really don't get why today's teens want their pc setup to look professional and stuff.. Buying expensive stuff just to look like a "professional gamer" seems very stupid to me.

I totally agree with you, Darthmaulsaber. "professional gamer" setups are incredibly embarrassing. But old 90s/2000's computer setups have an incredibly cozy and comfy aesthetic. Remember when houses used to have a "computer room"? Now it seems every room is the "computer room".... really makes you think

I know it sounds weird but the lighting of the room picture makes it feel more nostalgic since most photos that were taken from that time look like that.

Bought a Commodore VIC-20 last year for Christmas (I split the price half with my parents) but I haven't touched it in a long time.

My parents changed the computer room into a huge bathroom. I still get a little disappointed whenever I go to visit them and that room just doesn't exist the way it used to.

Monitor mount is this guy-- which is a bit too tall, but the shorter one wasn't tall enough for my tastes
https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Monitor-...SKXPPGP86N257N
I used to have one with big swinging pneumatic arms but they were so cumbersome and I could never get my monitors lined up and they took up a ton of space behind my desk so fuck, upgrades

Monitors are uh
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is the left one-- 144hz, 2k

The right one is also an Acer that I got several years ago at Microcenter, no idea what it actually is, other than "worse than the left one"

Oh, it's adjustable, you can change the attachment point up and down the pole, and each arm has an elbow and a wrist, works great

But my old mount was this fucker, which you could absolutely never get in the position you actually wanted it to be

I struggled with it for like 18 months, had my desk pulled out like 8" from the wall, everything kept sagging

Once the pandemic started and I was looking at my monitors for 18 hours a day instead of like 6, I had to dump them and upgrade
