absolute shite, just tried that and the shit ass thing doesn't even let you crop to a window you wanna record, it'll do the whole box but nothing on the inside like you'd need for 3dmm, and even when you do try stretch it it just exports with a huge black area around it

wow remember the days when you could literally just drag a box round where you want to record, absolutely pathetic and convoluted like everything else in the world in 2020, personally i'm on plops side here regardless of your comment about it's popularity red, if OBS is what everyone thinks is convenient then the less popular the better

1. Get ShareX

2. Go into task settings, and click "Screen Recorder" then "Screen Recording Options"

3. Get FFMPEG from the button in there, then select "virtual audio capturer" from the audio settings dropdown menu in the top right menu

4. Copy these settings EXACTLY

That'll get you high quality recordings.

5. Get Windows Movie Maker

6. Once you record your movie, import it to Windows Movie Maker and go into File > Save movie > Save for high definition display

7. Save the file. Congrats, you'll now have a 1080p version which won't get mangled when it gets uploaded to youtube.

DONE.

I personally don't use OBS, XSplit or any of the other popular recorders. Shadowplay/Nvidia Share beats the majority of them in terms of simplicity.

Glad you've found an alternative though! Even if you do sound like a child squeezing his junk in frustration

You can also set it up to automatically upload things to imgur. Once you take a screenshot, it'll upload and copy the image link to your clipboard (that is, if you set it up)

Points for Plopilpy for providing a method and clear, precise instructions. I'm assuming it all works, of course, but well done!
