do you have worries for the future

sometimes i wonder if this digital social media age we are living in may be damaging, i wonder a lot about how the effects of social media & everyone getting all their content and entertainment from the same places will effect culture, the vast various influences and takes on things that amounted in the endless supply of art and media we created from the 1900s onwards becoming more in line with the general school of thought, now that even indian ppl are just watching the same charlie damelio tik tokers i wonder how interesting all these corners of the world are gonna be in 80+ years when everyone from everywhere has grown up watching youtube, what do you think?

^ People like Hermes are the result of the modern age, and yes, that's what worries me.

Worrying is useless. It gives you wrinkles and makes you gay

My highest fear for the future is that I won't do well in school and that I'll become a failure.

Soon drinking water will be commodified by Wall Street with its futures traded like gold or oil. Symbolically it feels like the beginning of the end to me

Don't worry too much about that plop. Getting good grades is a nice accomplishment but it won't set your future in stone. After all, lots of people already have degrees from good schools but it turns out they are pretty clueless in the real world. This could be because they were coddled their entire lives and as a result they have a narrow outlook that a college degree should instantly equate to success. Work ethic and the ability to innovate, recognize opportunities, and act on them is not taught in the classroom. Also, if you're considering a creative field, then grades are even less relevant. The college thing has really been over-emphasized and is damaging the perception of young people. Remember just to get off your computer occasionally and get out there. Get a difficult blue collar job when you're 18, don't work at a coffee shop. That alone will give you an edge over your peers

yeah tbh just because you do well in school, doesn't mean you'll succeed afterwards.

and just because you failed or dropped out, doesn't mean you'll fail afterwards either.

if you're really worried about the future you should invest in long-term career goals now rather than obsess over school

I'm looking to be a graphic designer. I've got dozens of old photoshop works which are on old/lost hard drives.

a successful mind would be working on new photoshop works for his portfolio instead of stalling on old ones

You should probably learn Illustrator and InDesign if you want to be a designer.
