Some Art!

Most of this is from Uni Projects (the Sci-Fi and Pixel Art concept stuff), the rest is mostly random messing about. The last one wasn't a personal choice, class brief dictated we choose an environmental issue and I fancied drawing a polar bear.

Shh, it's been a while - I'm trying to fix it

Edit: Fixed it. Haven't used bb tags in a bit.

Are these really original works? They're all really impressive, if so! I'm not seeing a lot of style similarity throughout, but good artists shouldn't have a single unbending style. HMC, for instance, can dabble in lots of different styles.

I mean, I'll say that I think they're all really cool in any event. I'm impressed!

Haha yeah, they are. The timeline varies, some were done recently, like the painted Sci-Fi images. I got a proper drawing tablet to practice painting, and the horror sci-fi images were the outcome. I don't want to refine myself to a specific style, so I dabble with different influences and see what I can do. Most of the stuff I'm happy with I post here: www.artstation.com/spottiswoodeart

This is the latest WIP! I'm dabbling with graphic novel styles currently.

And some more pixel art, which turned into a fun hobby.

did some reverse image searches, I can confirm these are all red's actual drawings. None of these exist anywhere else

... it's obviously a parody of the other thread he made where he copied some other drawing, but with even less effort. are you new?

now move this thread to testing forum where this spam belongs

Thanks! I was inspired by 'The Last Night':

I've still got my fingers crossed that it'll be released one day.

That's one of my University project development blogs lol.

I plagiarised art when I was what.. 12 years old? I redrew some other artists images and claimed them as originals. Again, I was like 12. I was stupid.

27/11/2009: Red Scorpion is caught plagiarising artwork.

Alas, if my art was plagiarised (as you apparently suspect), I wouldn't have graduated with a Masters. They do check that shit.

I like #3 in the opening post a lot.

#1 is also really cool, but it slightly bothers me how calm and happy the guy's expression is. It'd be cool if he looked a little more fierce.

Anyway these are pretty good overall.

Thanks! #1's a chick, though I do agree with the expression being off. I might give it an edit and reupload at some point.

I'd love to make a little side scroller, but Unity and Unreal are still basically alien to me!

i've been playing a game called Stranded Deep lately where you are a plane crash survivor trying to survive each day / building rafts and fighting sharks etc. , and it was all made in Unity, real impressive stuff, i used to think it was a glorified flash game maker but it seems you can make genuine real world titles and stuff on it

Stranded Deep is alright! Novelty wears off after a while though, as is typical with survival games nowadays. Unity is great! Pretty sure Escape from Tarkov was created using Unity, and that game is unreal.

i feel you on that, i think i'm near my 90th day now and have made a huge house n shit, so now i'm probs gonna just get this helicopter built and finish up.
do you have any recommendations for similar stuff? i have seen people talk about The Forest but that seems very combat orientated, i very much appreciate the slow pace sandbox vibe of Stranded Deep / minecraft so i wanna find another thing like that

sorry for farting this game stuff all over ya art thread
