Modding problems

I tried to extract actors with 7gen_0.7 using the 7gen03b version of Python, but it did not extract actors. I tried to download the newer version that was listed in the readme file, but I could not find a 32 bit version of the Python listed there. Then someone suggested for me to use Jayrod's Actor Extractor but I could not extract the texture files.

So I still need help.

Is 7gen set on the correct source folder? sometimes that can be an issue.

You need to change to 0 - uncompressed on the mode section on 3DMM Pencil, that will work.

You can try download The Windows XP Version of MSPaint from the Internet Archive. I recently used it to edit TMAPS.

The specific model you're using has to be low poly.

well currently i found out one of my models is just under 256 polygons. it might be what actually causes the crash?

It's probably an issue with your normals. You'll want to ensure they're all facing the same way.

This can be hard to see if you have backface culling off

Or it's the exporter you're using eating up your polygons yum yum yum

This might help, under Recalculate Normals:

its probably the exporter. since when i turned on backface culling everything seemed normal. i still dont know how to fix this though.
