3Dmm's 25th Anniversary is coming in 2020.

Well, folks. Because that Microsoft 3D Movie Maker is one of the very best movie-making computer games on so many Windows computers, we will all be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of 3D Movie Maker and it's coming in 2020 next year. We will discuss about the models, characters, and others, and lots of other things to talk about like Nickelodeon 3D Movie Maker. From 3DMM to Doraemon and Nicktoon characters, The Microsoft 3D Movie Maker is the coolest (and awesomely) place in Imaginopolis! Everything you need to be the boss, and direct your own movie is right here. So make your 3D movies without going to Hollywood, because 3DMM.com will celebrate 25 years of the actual 3DMM game by Microsoft back in 1995. Remember folks, it starts on 3rd January 2020 until 29th December 2020.
Don't miss it, don't miss out, just don't forget it.

Microsoft 3D Movie Maker's 25th Anniversary: 1995-2020

COMING SOON!

EDIT: 31st December 2019 - I have edited the date saying that it would end on 29th December 2020 rather than 20th July 2020.

we tried to do something special for the 20th anniversary but nothing came about. there's no point talking about it, we all know we're not gonna do anything for the 25th anniversary either.

if the "celebration" you have in mind is another one of the many shitty 3dmm movies made by/for autistic kids plaguing the movies forum starring virtually every cartoon/video game character imaginable that nobody here watches or gives a shit about than you can stop right there.

look, in my opinion there's only one way we can really celebrate the 25th anniversary and pay some tribute to this now dead community.

but then after that we should really consider doing this. after all these years it still hurts to see this was never done.

I really wish somebody would dump the source code online somewhere. It blows knowing that its probably in a junk box somewhere in somebody's attic.

Say, Jayrod. Since 1995, Microsoft Home released the 3D Movie Maker on Windows PC computers for the Microsoft Kids library. So i think on 3rd January 2020, we'll be celebrating the actual PC game release of 1995's 3D Movie Maker from Microsoft. So there will be lots of things to do for the 25th anniversary of 3D Movie Maker, like talk about characters from 3DMM/Nick 3DMM, Make animated movies to celebrate 25 years of 3DMM, talk about other things which are not 3DMM related, post some fanart and pictures of 3DMM, and that's literally it! So how about that? And will you be planning to make another release of Open3Dmm this time with v3DMM? Because it's the next step for you, Jayrod.

If all goes according to plan, I should be releasing three movies for 2020. One of them I'm like...a day away from finishing. That'll be my contribution to celebrating 25 years.

That's right. Like I said, 25 years of the actual Microsoft 3D movie maker PC game from 1995 to 2020. I wonder if Microsoft could release a newer, bigger, and better version of 3D Movie Maker from 1995 as a remake? With over 500+ actors, props, scenes, music and sound effects to choose from?

Definitely not. 3DMM isn't even a blip on their radar. The only way a new 3dmm is even feasible is if an independent programmer made it or a different company accepted a pitch. It's been tried a few times here and always fell apart and we're actually passionate about it. So, slim to no chance.

It still baffles me that nobody has tried to capture the same mechanics that 3dmm introduced. There's been many other "movie maker" programs, but they're not nearly as powerful as 3dmm. It's a damn shame, really.

I jumped on things like The Movies and always felt massively underwhelmed. 3dmm was something really special. You'd think that 25 years later somebody would have tried to make something similar in function.
