but i will still use md2_to_vxp 0.3 for my actors/props

I like the idea but unfortunately it looks really bad. You missed around the eyes and ears and part of the mouth and there are weird gray blotches all over. I think you're going to have to make a better version if you expect anyone to actually use this.
