Getting better at drawing Mickey Mouse

Hello 3dmm,

I've been drawing Mickey Mouse almost every day in the same pose for a very long time so that I can draw the perfect Mickey Mouse. I am improving. Here is my progress over the past 4 months.

good job, first one looks great! the ears on the third one don't really match up with his pose imo. like from the angle he's at, his right ear would be twice as long as his left ear.

Thanks for commenting, guys! Old Rivers, that's interesting you said the first one looks great. To me that is the weakest of the three. It is the oldest. As for Mickey's ears, they are always the same size. Maybe I could change the positioning.

Here's a birthday card I drew for my friend. He likes the Civil War.

My favorite Mickey Design is Brave Little Tailor (I believe it's like 1947 or something). This is pretty close!

Actually the best of the bunch is the pencil drawing at the top right. There are some golden proportions when it comes to Mickey (and, really, any decent cartoon character), and the width of the face and spacing between the eyes changes everything.

This is so true! Cartoon characters are so simple, yet so complex. Thanks, guys.

I can see Mickey and Goofy suiting up for the Union, but Donald Duck would have been a reb for sure
