Self portrait paiting showing Christian journey

Hello 3dmm.

When I was 18-23 I did many things I am not proud of, like drugs, seeing prostitutes, going to strip clubs, gay sex, stealing from everyone (parents included), and jail. I made my mom cry and so miserable and hurt many other people. I was lost in a horrible dark forest. I felt the guilt of my actions like a huge burden on back. Then I learned about Jesus, and how he loves us and forgives us for everything we do. I walked toward him, gave my life to him, and he lifted the burden from my back!

First of all I want to say that is a great painting and I love it. The tones you used are great. I like the image it portrays of a journey to solitude to meditate. I read a book by this major evangelical guy and that was one of his first very religious experiences. Sadly solitude like that is are harder to find in today's age (I know it is here, they developed all the natural areas into tacky stuff so they could make money off of it.)

Anyway, it's a great painting Omnirom, I'm glad to see that your faith is not keeping you from making cool art! I'm hoping you keep going because I know how talented you are. Maybe your faith will actually bring a stability to your work, which could be nice. I am also glad to hear that you have dealt with your vices through your faith, which I did not realize you had. Good for you!

But yeah, great painting, basically. What size is it? Is it somewhat large? did you use acrylics or oil?

Wow that is a really great painting, Omnirom. The two pictures composed work very well together. I'm glad you have found strength through your faith. Keep it up!

Really cool painting. And different paths can help people be the best they can be, glad you found yours through religion. I'm not sure why you put "gay sex" in that list though?

sodomy may no longer be illegal in the state of California but it is still a sin the eyes of god!!
