Doraemon and Nobita (Better Models)
Zakarithreedee's Avatar
Description:
The robocat/preteen duo burst their way into 3dmm for the second time!

Both of these models were ripped from "Doraemon: Nobita and the 3 fairysacred stones", a japan-only N64 game.

(I had to recreate their facial expressions. Sorry for the crappy textures on Nobita, we of course all know that 3dmm's color pallete sucks.)

This is a nice revamp. Does this use animations from the Doraemon expansion?

Nevermind, i'm wrong.

I think we'd need a revamped Suneo, Shizuka and Gian by now.

Sorry that I couldn't reply sooner. The answer you're looking for is No.
I created the animations completely from scratch. It was mostly pretty easy to do, considering the fact that the models were quite blocky (which you cant judge because they were ripped from an N64 game).

Oh, :P
A big difference between these is that the old doraemon models had frame animation parts for expressions rather than changing textures.

THE ONES INCLUDED IN THE JAPANESE EXPANSION PACK LOOK LIKE CRAP, BECAUSE THEY WERE MODELED BY AMERICANS WHO NEVER WATCHED THE ANIME OR EVEN READ THE MANGA.

...What?
The expansion pack originated from Japan, what are you talking about? Of course the models are going to be made in Japan. Unless you can cite that.
These look pretty much the exact same, just with shittier textures.

Guess you're right, actually i find the japanese expansion's model much better because the models have animated parts, and the animations are flexible.

Yeah, I think you're confused Zakirith. All of the Doraemon expansion pack was made exclusively by the Japanese 3DMM team (and whoever was in charge of Doraemon at the time). No American modelers.

Can I have the original source models for this? Me and my friend have been wanting to make a Doraemon Gmod ragdoll pack for a while but we can't get the hang of ripping N64 models at all. Rips of Gian, Suneo and Shizuka would also be appreciated.

Yes I need talent. Just book me some talent. Yeah I need some talent. Ok just as long as we both have talent. Ok, thank you!

i don't know about that, these models came untextured at first....
and yes, i ripped shizuka, suneo and jaian. dont spell his name as gian, gian was a mistranslation from when shogakukan translated the manga into english.
