alt right is a perfectly fine term

for one thing, it actually captures the essence of what its members believe (rather than 'white supremacist,' which is misleading, since i don't think any of them actually want whites to control the world or reign supreme over all other races or whatever). it also is simple and easy-to-say. it's also a gigantic umbrella that can combine a bunch of contradictory positions and opinions. it's a fine term.

i think a bunch of people caught under that umbrella are just annoyed that the public will now think of them as some sort of group that all shares the same opinions/positions rather than being all over the place. ive already seen a lot of this since Hill speech. labels are getting kinda kooky!

oh dude, yeah. people are sperging the fuck out about who gets to be 'alt right' and who's more 'authentic.' apparently unaware that 'alt right' is not a closed organization, it has no centralized leadership, and additionally is neither a prescriptive nor proscriptive concept

it's a pretty good demonstration of how people on the right are criminally bad at understanding how language works. understanding the basics of language is one area where the left has consistently been superior, for decades upon decades. this probably will never change

he wasn't fired... he wrote an article on some guest contributor thing. its like the equivalent of those Yahoo! articles people used to write and pass off as legit.

Also honestly he based his whole article on conservative media tabloids. And then he's like "Omg, this is so alarming how they're censoring me." No, he should be censored, he's not professional.

I feel like we're past the darkest days on 3dmm at least. Definitely noticed a drop in Trump support on here, at least overtly, and none of you were exactly shy about it before. Maybe we don't even have to wait until the election to heal our divisions.

e: I admit, cutting out two of the biggest right-wing voices on the site has really helped in that regard, so I may have a biased view. also it feels weird to be describing Boris as 'right-wing', but it's pretty accurate.
