wow nice. listening now. it's super short, you could have probably extended these songs a bit. 6 songs and 11 minutes? That's like less than 2 min a song.. I guess this is sort of more like a beat-tape?

over all pretty cool and short. I would like to see an album like this, but with like 20-30 tracks. I thought the use of vocal samples in this was a bit annoying and didn't really contribute anything in the end, though, aside from maybe the title track.

The last track is really cool but easily could have been 10x longer. It's such a nice sound that I wish it was actually a bit slowed down and more atmospheric. It really had the potential to be a nice track / the best track on the EP but then it ends like right as soon as it begins... That's really annoying. I think you have to learn to start expanding your tracks. I feel like all the tracks on this could have easily been 3-4 minutes long. I kind of like that it's short because I have a short attention span but I almost feel like you could milk the track a little more.

thanks Christo

thanks for the full review BR, yeah i get what you're saying. haha the final track is prob my favorite too and i know its really short. i'd probably lean toward adding more tracks rather than expanding the length much

very cool, here are my comments:

first track is nice, i like how you used real instruments for it, gives it a nice sound

Everybody is dope, the start is very cool, the harmonica took me by surprise, cool to see the experimentation going on on your first EP, sounds very promising, the more minimal synth part is great too, all the synths sound nice and full.
the part at 4:01

Beats and Bitches is a cool track, makes the title of the EP make more sense hahaha, thought it was an odd choice at first but this track uses that theme well, the percussion on this is cool too, i used a similar thing in a new track i'm working on with bongos and stuff.

Wire was nice, i think this track and the outro end a bit too soon really, they would sound great as full length tracks like Everybody, sounds like it could have went somewhere nice

Put Your Hands Up is really smooth, the guitar sounds fitting for it, usually when people try and incorporate guitars into beats it can come off corny but this worked well.

i'm terrible at leaving comments about people's stuff to be honest but yeah, great EP! really nice thing to have as a first release, Everybody is definitely my favorite!

thanks for the comments! yeah no matter how i feel about the final result (i actually think its alright, but could be better), i learned a LOT from this first attempt. so i just gotta keep making stuff and improving. before this EP, my standalone music sounded too close to MIDIs

"Beats and Bitches" is the lamest album title!!

music + album art is great though.

also I really like "Kicking Funk" I listened to that like 10-20 times already

thanks! haha yeah... the album is supposed to have an amount of cheesiness which is why i kicked off with that synth sound + keyboard DJ sample. so i figured the title was fitting.

i need to make more music vids i think, like kicking funk

edit: actually, i guess i do wish i used a different album title, just cause this is yet another slightly bad word in a title. my youtube is LOADED with cuss words, its kinda ridiculous. i need to put out a slew of clean stuff.

alright the way that 0:45-> 5:17 blends together is fkn badass.

im working on a new album where everything blends together. i hope to have 20+ min of blend. its a lot more free-flowing and fun than this one, but also trashier.

The whole thing sounds great. I love the guitar riff you do at 3:45, that whole part is awesome

This is great man. The blend of tracks makes it feel like it's one long 11 min track, which I've always been into. The experiments throughout are fantastic and everything is ultra listenable so far.

Not a fan of the name or the art. I feel like the music deserves something more unique. I had the same thing happen with my music when we named our band "Suburban Birds" pretty sure! At 4:40, reminds me a lot of Phoenix, then there are parts that remind me of Justice. Find some one word name.

Funny that you cycled back and forth not liking and then liking it. There's no reason to doubt whether this is good or not! You need to make more like this and market it dude.
