my housemates are into nfl so i know about all this

i guess i want the cardinals to win, because there's a cool wonder years song with that title. and the patriots to lose because they're like the manchester united of gridiron* for what i know

* i don't usually use this term but i might start because it's cool

I love how the Patriots didn't lose a single fan after Deflate Gate last year. Nobody rooting for New England ever says anything like, "yeah that was a sad day for football, I've lost respect for the Pats, especially Tom Brady." Instead the attitude is, "OOHH WE KICK ASS. IT'S TOUGH BEING THE BEST. MMM YOUR TEARS TASTE SO YUMMY. SUCK IT LOSERS." And it's not even the first time the Pats cheated. Everyone reinforces and validates each others' denial. You have to if you want to continue enjoying your team, right? But there was even a crowdfunding campaign where fans could donate and help pay the Patriots' million-dollar fine from the NFL, as if the team isn't worth billions. And the campaign was a success- THAT'S how much Pats fans are in denial over the whole thing. The fine was peanuts, a joke, but the fans were happy to pay it anyway. And Tom Brady's going back to court next week to waste more taxpayer dollars when the worst thing that will happen is he'll get a slap on the wrist and can't play a few games. Dude the Patriots, the entire team, should've been banned from the NFL for a year or two, if only to set an example (of course that would never happen because there's so much money in it). But this is like a crazy opinion to have apparently

so for that reason I hope the Broncos win

As I said earlier, the Pats are worth billions! The owner has a net worth of billions. A single million sounds like a slap on the wrist to me. Even after hearing a non-Pats fan argue the punishment was too much

This is probably what it all boils down to, now that you mention it.

haha that's really hilariously pathetic but I'm surprised it's against the rules. does the NFL really think "getting pumped up by the crowd" is that big of an advantage? or was it for some other reason?

My hockey team (Ottawa Senators) are a goddamn yo-yo this year. One game they're the biggest piles of garbage, the next game no one can beat them.

Very frustrating to watch.

basketball: I love watching basketball, but I don't have a team. Stephen Curry is really impressive tho, sorry HJ. still, I don't root for GSW specifically. I like seeing any team that's well-oiled. I'll try to watch that game tonight.

hockey: it's real funny how bad the Canadiens started sucking after Carey Price got injured.

I'm assuming it's to be loudest when the other team is on offense, so they can't effectively call plays.

But if I owned a stadium, I'd have done that, too
