What are you currently working on?

I've got 2 movies and a mod currently being worked on in 3dmm. The movies are PENCIL 2 and Operation vortex REDUX. I''m thinking of cancelling both and working on another movie, The talent Book Pages. As for the third project, It's my own version of Myself. I'm getting tired of using the same model for every movie.

So yeah, What are you currently working on?

95% done with Bert's Return. The last 3rd of a movie always takes the longest with me

Working here and there on the black and white movie when I have the time. Super busy lately, though, so it's slow going. Can't really build up the motivation to work on Omnus as the stuff I want to do is REALLY complicated and will take a LOT to do.

I would give an arm to see a great b&w noir from 3dmm.

I kind of wish I had a great script to work off of. As it is, I'm just making a story up as I go.

Yeah, its gonna be one of those kind of movies.

Well, you pretty much have the ones I made for the Noir movie now. Don't use them...

I've actually got few other shirts (that are as well, bland), plus the worlds strangest looking top hat in history.

Looks awesome. Also excited for MTV Episode 7 (I think that it's the longest 1 man series in 3dmm yet. I'm not completely sure).

And you are right, It is incomplete. I need to clean up the hair model a bit.

This isn't the first texture (the starting one), But I'm most likely gonna use this the most.

Made myself look chubby using the vertices tool. Looks kinda bad though, so I might fix it later. I also fixed the hair as well.

Don't ask why the starting hat is messed up.

I'm also working on little animation peices for PENCIL 2, starting with this:

Made using actor fonts, and obviously inspired by Michael Sandford.

Am I the only person still working on movies that doesn't have actor fonts? Tried downloading some from an older thread but they were...broken or something.

Btw, looks good Pencil.

Did you use this link:
http://thatdenny.googlepages.com/afkeymaps.txt
Cause from what I can tell, It's fully working. If you ever even try to use them, I recommend you edit an existing actor, then just use the actor fonts on them without having to rebuild the entire character.

you're not alone, i've never had much interest in downloading/making my own actor fonts or anything like that. i just work with what i have and try to make it as awesome as possible, i'm probably the most old school 3dmmer here now when it comes to mods, expansions etc.

Yeah I dont like using the actor fonts that much as well. If I want costom animation on an actor I would go all out and make separate pieces for it.

But isn't that exactly what actor fonts is - a font with the BMDLs of each piece of each actor?

Like I feel like you're just remaking actor fonts and saying you don't like actor fonts.

Unless I'm missing something.

No I would make different actor mods for each piece and use pencil to remove the rest of the person. Like say I wanted an arm for an actor, I would extract an actor, go into pencil and remove every single piece of that actor save for that one arm, and use that instead of actor fonts. You got it?

If you wrote up a decent tutorial for that, I'd be incredibly grateful.
