Is the site down or not?

I can't access 3dmm.com or 3dmm.com/index.php but when I typed in a thread URL I managed to get in. Couldn't get to front page from there without a 404 error so I used the search function to make my way into Admin Contact. I'm just wondering whether this thread will actually post though. Test...

I assumed Goat was moving the site over to a new host or something but apparently not?

It's a long story, not very interesting. All should be back to normal now.

I was afraid it would be down forever, or I was IP-Banned.

I was sort of hoping every post and account on the forum got erased, and we were all back to 0

that would mean we would have to put back all the good movies, which would take years to do, so yeah. I would like to start over, though.

On Monday evening, I came home from work to find the main water line into my condo had somehow broke all on its own and flooded my laundry room and hallway with about half an inch of water. Miraculously, all my computer equipment which had been sitting on the floor not far from the leak was somehow spared, but I disconnected everything anyway, and decided to go stay at my parents house since I had to shut off all water coming into the unit.

On Wednesday, while still at my parents and without access to my primary computer, my host decided it was a good time to finally migrate the site to their new datacenter, something I was told was supposed to happen last May. They never bothered to coordinate any of this with me like they said they would, nor did they ever warn me that the new server would be running a newer version of PHP, which as it turns out had incompatibilities with vBulletin 3.x.x.

So basically, I was caught with my pants down, having to troubleshoot all these problems away from home on my damn iPhone. Had this happened the week before or after, it wouldn't have taken me more than a couple hours to get things back up and running again, but I guess when all was said and done, it could have been worse.

Just spent most of today testing xenForo, hoping it can replace vBulletin for us. It will probably be several months though before I can do anything about this ticking time bomb though.
