- 3dmm will exist but as a very small community probably hosted elsewhere.
- Paul McCartney will still be trying to perform.
- I won't be alive.
- Dan will had something turned into a show
- there will have been 5 "Cars" movies or (worse) Toy Story 4

In 10 years we will have squandered the advancements of today and the years between.

Somehow, every company will get together and lobby the government and ban all 3D printers by scaring everyone. They will say that it will lead to crippling unemployment and a huge collapse of the economic system. Of course, this isn't true, it's just these companies fearing that they will only make 9 billion instead of 10 billion and that will piss off the shareholders.

Despite our efforts, the internet will become tiered in this time, but after that some good companies like Google and others that just get with the picture and a large amount of start-ups, will come in and lay down miles and miles of fiber. The cable and DSL companies will freak out and in a last ditch effort try to ban the use of fiber in the ground/on the poles, but it won't work. A few years after that, they will come in and lay their own fiber or buy up all the fiber that was put down and for a while things will be good, but then they will, eventually, throttle the speeds again and/or make it tiered again.

In line with the above thought, television won't exist anymore. The providers of TV will go out kicking and screaming, but it will die. Networks will move to better providers that are internet based or just simply offer up their services directly for a subscription. It will be good for a while. But then some company like Hulu will gain momentum and get the networks to sign contracts for exclusivity. Soon, the only way you can watch shows will be to pay the same price (adjusted for inflation) to subscribe to an internet based provider than it would to have cable/sat/IP TV. The same arguments will arise like, "but I don't watch all those shows. I just want to watch _____. why should I have to pay for it all?" But there will only be a few to chose from, some with more networks, some with less and it will actually be more annoying and frustrating and complicated to watch programming, as it will be divided among 3-5 different, web-based companies and no longer on one, simple cable box. Piracy will gain more strength than it ever has from this.

The networks and programming providers, due to the piracy, will start encoding the videos and start tracking people down. This will lead to a big spurt of people getting sued and going to jail. Eventually, the hackers will catch on and fix it, but sadly, a few were made an example of and will lose their shirts just because they didn't want to pay for the monster that we created.

Lots of jobs will still be outsourced, but in a grand movement of irony, they will be outsourced to Indian and Chinese based companies that will just outsource it to the Philippines and Africa. Americans will still be unhappy at this and still never fucking learn that it's due to this form of enterprising that their goods and services are cheap.

Contrary to the last said thing, I think that the "Buy/Grow Local" movement will become bigger and people will realize that spending a little more on something made local and with more care and thought will result in a longer lasting product that makes them happier. Again, this sub-culture will grow, but most people will still buy shitty exploitative imports from Wal-Mart.

Products like the Oculus rift, which was bought by Facebook, will fade away as another flash-in-the-pants idea that was super-neat when it started, but no where near practical or cost-worthy. There will still be a lot out there, but in the efforts of laziness, most people just use monitors still rather than strapping on their big glasses.

Internet crowd-sourcing will die because of a handful of shady groups that boast a great product, gather the money, them disappear with a mountain of cash or declare bankruptcy. There will be large, and many, lawsuits against these groups and people. The news will run big stories on it and sadly the greater public notion will be that crowd-sourcing is where crooks make their living; it will become the multilevel marketing/pyramid business of tomorrow.

Self-driving cars will be another nice thing that won't happen. We'll see more and more, but they won't last. They can't prevent being hit by some drunk driver or red light runner in a classic car. The media won't see that last detail and instead will run with something like "Automatic Death" and talk about how dangerous the auto-cars are, rather than the idiot who drives the classic. People will get scarred and think "Well... I need to be in control in case something like that happens because a computer can't have a parent's instinct." or some shit, and sadly, the project won't go to where it needs or should go. This is more the story for America, as we don't like being told what to do let alone driven. The UK and everywhere else will have banned classic cars altogether and only let people ride in auto-cars. As a result, their death rate from auto related incidents will dive to record lows. As a result of that, their healthcare costs get even lower and better.

America will cling to the idea of privatized healthcare and free choice while other countries rise up and get healthier and their death rates plummet. America will start to get an image of being the slum of the world, but with lots of guns. Within the 10 years, will see a small increase of people leaving the USA, but not enough to worry anyone. "Patriotism" will become a bigger buzzword than it already is as citizens start to insult and poke fun at other countries and the people leaving. Within 20 years, no one will want to be in America unless they are in some sort of tin-foil military movement or an old fashioned farmer. Within 30, America will get scared and will start a re-build where they finally start to incorporate some of the things it should have been doing for a long time.

That's my prediction. Call is pessimistic if you want, but I don't see the world becoming near the place it should.

You are really ignorant and haven't really thought things through very well if you think 3D printers are some big deal that corporations need to ban. That in itself tells me you need to stop making these idiotic attempts at analyzing the future.
