Pure Storage "No Time For Disk"

Made this remix advertisement with Studio B Films for flash storage company Pure Storage over the last week. Was contacted by Studio B after they saw my Breaking Bad remix. They filmed a bunch of scenes in this documentary style with the intention of me remixing it. I pretty much remixed it however I wanted as long as I included the key lines (like 10 of them) that they asked for, and did some requested minor revisions.

I learned a lot from this project. I also edited the video at the end, separate from the music (just adding in the dancing / zooming / splitscreen / etc) in like 3 hours total (was running out of time at the end), even though I had never edited video by itself before. This made me realize how important this is. From now on I'm always gonna be doing video editing like I did at the ending in my remixes.

I think the sampling I did starting around 2:12 to the end is probably the best remix sampling I've done.

My PC died at the start of the project last Monday, ended up making this almost entirely on my sister's super slow i3 laptop from 4 years ago... Still turned out well though.

There's like 4 things in this that somehow carried over from a draft copy I gave them, but whatever. They're just minor things... the double-bars in the splitscreen at the ending, the like 2-frame bad cut after storage admin / DBA split, the shitty DBA split at 1:15, etc. Its cause I pushed the project back 1 day due to PC problems that these errors got into final.

hah yeah, what makes it weird is that we don't know the company - this is only really meant to be shown to people that already know them, i think it was shown during a gathering of people involved with flash technology or something. so it wasnt really about pushing the company name but about flash being superior to disk

haha thanks trooper, im fine with nobody posting though, especially when its something i did for money
