Would you still listen to the first album that you ever bought?

The first album that I bought was Prodigy - Fat of the Land in like 6th grade.

Nice job, Chris! Good first album.

trivium - ascendancy

would happily listen to it again, it remains IMO one of the best metal albums to come out in the last decade

My first album was Aqua - Aquarium. I bought it around 1998 on cassette tape when I was about 11 years old (well, my mom bought it.) I actually still remember getting it and the place we bought it at. I would listen to it.

I'll tell you what...

The first album I ever bought: I believe it was Jock Jams Volume 2. I still listen to songs from it. But not in CD form anymore, now I simply hear them in MP3 form from my hard drive!

Oh, and you gotta love it when the first track is looped on the album!

And another thing you gotta love is a fan-made volume of Jock Jams, since Jock Jams is that legendary of an album series!

I miss having so much disposable income I could buy albums... and sometimes I wouldn't even preview it first. "THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME * buys *"

Now, Amazon.com has enabled you to preview short excerpts of songs first. Later on, YouTube enabled you to hear some songs in FULL LENGTH.

Then later on, WMG unfairly blocked great songs on YouTube with unfair copyfraud claims! All this copyfraud I have heard about is why I chose to join the Nunica Internet Social Alliance, in which would grant me access to free downloads of MP3 albums from Nisa Records!

I grew up in a setting where disposable income was almost non-existant. This is why I bought rechargeable batteries in anticipation to long-term use of electronic devices, this is why I don't smoke cigarettes, this is why I don't buy insurance. Of which I joined the Nunica Internet Social Alliance since that's where free entertainment activists should belong.

I remember asking for/getting Soundgarden - Down on the Upside for my 8th birthday, and I remember getting my mom to buy me blink-182 - Dude Ranch when I was 7 or 8. Soundgarden I don't think I would listen to again, but Dude Ranch sure.

My first album was papa roach - infest. I wouldn't listen to it now because I heard it all about a million times and I'm sick of it

Got a 3-album Columbia House thing.

Pokemon - 2 B A Master (catchy. I still listen to a track every now and then)
Goldfinger - Hang-Ups (has it's charms, but also kind of sucks)
Green Day - Nimrod (also has it's charms, also kind of sucks)

I bet that somebody will download Nisa's YouTube Rejects from Nisa Records, and say that it is the "first album they ever got". Yup Nisa Records is one of the best record labels out there because of all the free MP3 albums they have that come from Nunica, MI

That is why you can like the Facebook page for that record label.
