Ching & Wagner Saw some movies - ep 6 -edit: Philip Seymour Hoffman tribute added...

Hey guys,

We're back with another episode of the usual stoner vs. drunk movie review show. This week we review:

The Lego Movie, Monuments Men, Lone Survivor, Ride Along, and About Last Night, plus we make our picks for our all time favorite romantic comedies.

Check it out, and I hope you enjoy it.

And now here's a bonus to episode 6. Before Wagner and I got wasted, we did a 13 minute tribute to Philip Seymour Hoffman, discussing our favorite roles of his, favorite movies, and just what made him so great.

Watching now. Will edit with my thoughts later. You shoulda said you tried to top the previous episode and it woulda got more excitement I think.

EDIT: I like it. Good comments. The ending was a little abrupt. A good ending provides a cathartic feeling, be it with some music, whatever. You could've at least said something short about Valentine's day. I like Warren Wagner a lot more now. He seems to put energy into relationships a lot. I like to focus on art, "friends" and "relationships" just get in the way. LOL. I'm kidding kind of but kind of not, I don't know how to express myself there. That's all I have to say, besides I wish you guys did something funny at the end every time like the previous episode. ALSO, I liked the favorite romance-related movies at the end.

So was our top 10 of 2013 your favorite episode so far? And yeah, I don't know about this episode topping the last one, but from a film criticism standpoint, I do think this episode is pretty solid. We finished it show very quickly, and I think we're getting better at not going off on really long tangents.

Agreed. Typically the funny endings just kind of came out naturally, but this time it didn't really.

you guys have to stop doing "late" holiday episodes. just do the halloween episodes a week before halloween and edit it really fast. how much fuckign editing goes into this thing? shouldn't be more than a few hours. be semi-professional.

anyway I'm watching it.

also the volume is like HELLA quiet. I'm listening to it on my laptop speakers and I have to like lean in to hear even tho its full volume. actually I have to turn the volume down for the trailers/clips, and turn it back up for you guys talking. please solve this weird volume stuff which drives me nuts.

Thanks Boris. Yes I agree, the holiday episodes arriving late has to stop. The next special themed episode is 420, and we will make damn sure that the episode arrives on 420.

We spoke about it last night when seeing Non-Stop. Warren will be more conscious of the audio next time. When we watch it, he has big speakers, so we have no problem hearing the audio, but yes, laptop speakers are shit and we do need to compliment that.

As always, we appreciate your feedback!

Here's a bonus to episode 6. Before Warren and I blazed up, we did a 13 minute tribute to Philip Seymour Hoffman, Warren's all time favorite actor. Interesting note...when Hoffman died, Warren got bombarded with text messages asking if he was okay.

That was really great.

Again, the sound really annoyed me. Whenever Jeff talks I only hear it in the left headphone. Warren on the right. When you're both talking its ok, but when just one person is talking for a long time its really noticeable and annoying.

Ahhh shit. Yeah, there's an extra process that I need to do after editing that I must've forgotten to do on the tribute. We record on separate audio tracks. Going forward we will be much more anal about the audio though and we appreciate you continuing to bring it to our attention.

I really like the tribute. It ended in the middle of a scene though. But that was really good, I didn't appreciate Phillip Seymor Hoffman as much before watching this.
