I now love the board.

The layout, to me, is perfect. Good job, Goat.

It looked confusing when I first saw it, but I think it was a very good idea.

Remember that this is the first topic on the new layout. And I started it. I'm obviously God.

I changed the font to Arial. I'll probably change it back in a few weeks to just to keep it fresh.

Sorry i couldn't be here. this red-headed bitch (aren't they all) actually complained to the front office so had to ge off this computer - it's a guest comp. for my apt. building.

Anyway, awesome stuff. What you've done is great. And about Midback: change it to "The Juvenile Idiocy and Spam Forum" - if you feel like doing something really dumb or you just need to spam because you can...

I don't like this layout, but that's just my own taste.

I feel more control if I see every topic people have created in the one forum rather than searching through all of them to find something intresting to talk about. This layout is good for people who want to dive striaght into a topic in mind, but for people like me who just want to leisurly browse the whole forum looking for possible Maytby posts or intresting ones... it just becomes more clubersome.

Also, doesn't multible forums increase the level on incoming/outgoing data enormously? User's now could click into five forums before finding something they want to comment on, again I'm only assuming sinse it seems like commonsense.

The best thing about the layout is it's switch to Ariel- I hope it's periment.

Most of the bandwidth is probably from the big 600 topic replies, multiple forums ensures one won't be so popular that huge threads will be commonplace.

i also like the new layout. One forum is easy to ignore but ten makes it somewhat different. All we need now is a bit more movie making spirit from everyone yes EVERYONE in the community.

Anyone who bookmarks the off-topic chat at this time will be considered a traitor in my eyes who is willfully destroying the community.

the one bad thing is Midback's Forum is all the way at the bottom. You can't even see it without scrolling down.

I think I'm with Pikos on this one. Its all too clunky, plus its a nightmare when you're trying to login from the networked computers at Tafe. I had to sign in [and I counted] 40 times with the old layout just to view a thread, I couldn't begin to imagine how bad its gonna be now.

I don't like the idea of how movie releases go in one forum and people have to go into another forum just to write a review.

Many people were already too lazy to browse from the movie forum to the general forum. People really can't be bothered to go all the way to another forum to write a review.

I think movie reviews should just go where the movie release is. It makes it so much easier.

Jeff, Critics corner is just for long, detailed reviews. People can still post their quick reviews or immediate reaction to a film in the same thread that it is released in, just like always. Trust me, there won't be much left in "Critic's Corner" once we get it cleared out.

Thing is though will people really be bothered to go all the way to another forum to post a long review?

I just think a lota people can't be bothered and there'll be lack of long and proper reviews.

Or people will simply ignore the rules and post their long reviews in the movie release.

U know from experience people don't like to travel to different forums. It shows with the movies forum/general forum that was around before.

I think the five or six people who ever bother to write long reviews will be able to manage the long trek to another forum. And if they can't muster the willpower, I'm sure an admin or mod will be more than happy to do it for them.

I think there are more advantages than disadvantages, so I like it a little bit more. I agree sort of with Pikios, but agree more with the "pro" people.
