He should be unbanned only if he writes an essay explaining to us why what he did is wrong and apologizing for it. Any hint of sarcasm extends ban.

I'm sure he's learned his lesson (he can't embarrass himself if he's not here)

Also Lohr's thing

he was definitely entertaining, but we KNOW he's just going to go insane again and do something retarded. letting him back is pretty much saying "we know you're going to be a complete nutjob, and that's ok. you do your thing".

i think we're his enablers. it's time to leave the padlock on the licker cabinet. one day, he'll be better for it and thank us. via an imp account or... handwritten letters or something.

the ban is still only for six months, though (of which he's already served one):

if he were just a normal idiot like Spencer Howell or willthesmithking I'd be all for bringing him back for entertainment purposes, but he's that special kind of idiot like Jim Raynor who spends his time harassing our most vulnerable members (young/autistic). I'm not saying we need to go all out to protect them, but considering that absolutely nobody likes the guy anyway, I think that's reason enough to keep him banned

I agree with keeping him banned. The kid clearly has issues, and the only things that are going to happen are him assuming everyone is an imp in need of an IP check and people hounding him and pissing him off until they get the reaction they're looking for. Then, he'll get banned again by doing something outrageous and stupid.

Yeah, I guess that's a valid point.

i think it's sad, pathetic and even a little selfish that people want red scorpion to be unbanned just for the entertainment value. i dunno what's worse; the idea of him being let back in or the fact that some people actually want him to come back in the first place.

to laugh at him is no longer a reason to let him back in, he's been the same running joke for nearly a decade now. it's not funny anymore, it's repetitive and boring.

actually, it gets funnier every time. simply because it's another time. someone gets pissy, spams goatse, and gets banned, that's amusing. they try and come back and end up doing it again, that's funny. but to do it like fuckin' EIGHT TIMES?! it's gold, benny. gold!

Uh, just to be clear, that wasn't my intention with this thread. As I've said before, I personally don't have any problem with him, and I've actually had some pleasant conversations with him off the site.

I've had pleasant conversations with him ON the site. I still don't think he should be unbanned. People who want him back want a punching bag. And he provides that incredibly well. He reacts exactly the way they want him to. He flips out, makes physical threats over the internet and does something insane to get banned. If he came back it would be more of the same.

that's pretty much what i mean, it's the same old story with him. so what's the point of giving him another chance when you know exactly what result will come out of it? because it's funny? give me a break.

We should make a dedicated thread that will be his therapy thread, where we will talk to him about his issues.
