Wah - Halloween Short
Plot Summary:
A serial killer uses a tape recorder with the sound of a baby crying to lure his victims out of their homes.

Made this in a day, just had to wait on voices being sent to me. I rushed the end a little, thus the outside of the girls home doesn't look good and some of the scenes are sloppy. Sorry if it's annoying, it could look better but I wanted to release it today and I have to go out later tonight.

Enjoy!

Really cool, man! Nice work. The tension and scares were effective (especially for a 3dmm movie), the expansions all fit nicely without overdoing it (the killer was especially well-done, very freaky looking), and the voice acting was pretty damn good. For making this in one day that's really impressive.

Watch this, folks.

There was an expansion conflict starting at scene 5 for me, though. I'm pretty sure it was the sofa. So if you guys have a lot of expansions, you might want to temporarily clear your cache before watching.

Thanks guys! You'll notice that the outside of the house didn't have scenery (roads etc) and the actors (when talking) didn't move much in some scenes. I just didn't really have time to do it, been having to tidy the house a bit for the weekend and sorting peoples costumes for tonight haha.

Glad you liked it!

That's something you say when someone isn't particularly helpful, which is not at all the case for supacat.

Way to not delete unused sounds you lazy piece of crap

Just messing around - good work! The scenery was very well made, and I agree about the voice acting, though the cop didn't quite sound like a real American to me...was that you or someone you know putting on an accent? Not that that really matters at all of course, but it made me curious.

I agree that you did a great job on the killer model, and you also struck a good balance of showing him enough that we get a good look at your cool model but not overusing it so much that it loses the suspense.

The music was very fitting and atmospheric too. Good stuff all around man! The only things I'd change would be getting rid of the very first scene (I didn't think it was necessary and its tone seemed kind of off from the rest of the movie) and I would have mixed up the panning shots around the room so they weren't all going from right-to-left at pretty much the same pace. But those are very minor things. This is definitely some of the best horror I've seen in 3dmm!

Thanks guys! I'd get a youtubed version up but I got a new graphics card that messes with camstudio, so I can't record sound, only the screen.

On the other hand, I showed my little brother and he jumped! Obviously got the right music in there or something.

He also gave this 1%, lol.

On the other hand, I won't insult him, I'll just link him to his 'own' movie.

(I posted right before that post. Though I dunno why he'd react like that to it. Maybe he doesn't know how spoiler tags work and only saw the first sentence. Either way though, ugh)

Well, anyways. I recorded the movie, will post it to my Youtube whenever I get the chance. So yeah, great job though Red, this was really fun to watch. You kind of remind me of those, "That was crap, do it better!" kind of directors. You know, the kind of director that acts like a total dick, but behind that, when he gets his work done, he has some really good shit to watch, kind of like pikios.
