3DMM Directors War
Plot Summary:
A band of 3DMM directors launch an assault on Microsoft's military bases, destroying them and holding them hostage until a 3D Movie Maker 2 is produced.

Directed by Sims Odom, with animation by BR, Redwampa, Owen Glover, Will Maltby, Yorick Bergsma, Jabroni, Nick The Almighty, Twista and Jon Sapone. Released in 2000.

(scene 106 always seems to freeze the movie for me, so I chopped it from the YouTube recording. the subtitles also go off-screen due to dodgy font compatibility. not much I can do to fix it!)

Requirements
3D Movie Maker
Frankie's 3dmm Expansion Pack 1
Doraemon Expansion
Nickelodeon Expansion

thats cool how sapone and yorick bergsma got paired together, they actyually had a pretty similar style. yorick bergsma was kind of a genius at making under-one-minute films.

if you have any of yorick's stuff i'd love it if you uploaded that

You can find Yorick's stuff on my channel under "yowen2000"; just the movies that've been posted on the forums, though. I think there's more of his works out there that I'm missing, but Yorick himself lost all his films.
For that matter, did Sims Odom make many other films? I seem to recall he had one on 3DMM.co.uk, "The Wacky Adventures of Jean Claude Van Damme" or something like that. Just bein' nosey.

Le Freak was my favorite one

it was around one minute long. just a dude tying up another dude to the tune of 'le freak' by chic, and then shooting him repeatedly with a handgun. it's fucking genius. the juxtaposition of the music with the action. when i saw it, no one really made much of it. i thought it was one of those rare moments in 3dmm where you gain a sort of voyeuristic access through a window of real psychotic behavior

anyhow thanks

edit: i just saw all the ones on your chan. Awesome Fight is probably the best. it seems to represent when his style was getting tight. it has the will maltby matrix slow-mo type shit, but there are great little details thrown in. like in the end when the dude throws the hammer at the guy's face, you see his eye pop out in this mash of gore, and it's only there for one frame before the scene cuts. that's fucking brilliant. a lesser director would exploit the hand-made gory face for longer. here it's only one frame, and thats the perfect length of time.

Hey Supacat, I love all the awesome uploads. But I am curious why just 240p? Do the sound artifacts help to avoid the copyrighted song detectors or something?

I dunno man, but 3dmm's vertical resolution is 306p - which is between 240p and 360p, it just goes with the lower one and it's way too low-res for youtube to even consider the "Original-size" option used for 2k and 4k videos

Crumbs, I didn't notice everything was 240p now! I know before the latest YouTube revamp they were consistently 360p. I'll see if I can do something about that in future. You can still get the 360p versions if you download them through JDownloader, for whatever reason. Is it worth inflating them to 480p or higher?
It's only recently I've tried circumventing copyright track detectors, though only with the N.U.T.S. series and Etotpisaroof, and it still matches third-party content. They don't seem to be muted, by the very least, so I'm thankful for that. I've been meaning to track down what's been muted and see if I can re-record them with less offending audio.

I personally don't care if it's at 360 or 480, but I have data caps where I live, so I'm used to 360. Maybe 480 would be nice for posterity, but I'm not sure there's enough of a difference with 3dmm's quality to make it worth it. 240 is pretty distractingly compressed though.
