Does anyone remember this old mac game?

I'm trying to remember the name of my favourite game as a kid, we had an old mac when I was about 11, so 1996 maybe, I'd say the game was brought out 1991-1995. It was on about five floppy disks.

It was like a puzzle adventure game, really pixelated and I'm sure each level was one colour. One of the levels was like a cavern, that was either dark purple or dark blue, and you had to click on things to collect them? I was kind of side scroll-y in this level, but the rest were like point and click puzzles or things you had to find.

I remember it being educational. It's driving me crazy I've been looking online all night.

I think getting to the cavern was a big deal, or the final level maybe.

Not quite, it's more of a general knowledge, find the famous artifact kind of thing.

Sounds like one of those really plain hid and seek puzzle games they pound out every month, even today.

Do you remember anything else about it? Would you consider it a classic/popular? Maybe look through like "best Mac games of the 90s" or something.

Would need a bit more info to do anything more specific.

It's definitely not a regular 'find hidden objects' type game, the cave/cavern level was the only level where you had to find stuff like that. There was a mask or face in there (possibly more that one) and when you clicked on it it would make a moaning sound.

I remember there being other levels inside a house? You go through a kitchen or a lab to get to the cavern?

Ooooooh man is it like a haunted house? Like you had to collect keys to put into a clock before the stroke of midnight or something?

I had a game like that, it's like Some Guys Name's Haunted House or something.

Not sure if that's what you're thinking of.

Yeah I'm having trouble thinking that far back. Another game I was trying to figure out was Super-Solvers- Midnight Rescue and in my memory it was totally black and white, but it turns out it's full colour. The more I think about it the more I think I might be wrong about somethings - the side scrolling aspect especially and the year, the more I look at older DOS games and quality the more I think it might be late 80's

hit reply underneath a comment to reply to them, dont just reply to your thread like its a forum. doesnt matter much but they most likely won't see the reply if you dont do that.

Not sure if that's what you're thinking of.

This game was Grahan Wilson's The Ultimate Haunted House if anybody was wondering.

Could have been ported. There was an EGA version of Super Solvers Treasure Math Storm burned into my brain from childhood, but I've only ever found evidence of the higher-color versions online.

No, maybe a little newer than that.

No luck with Reddit either, but I will keep looking.

Ash: I'm at the point where I just go through that list to save my sanity.
