Agreed. They've already admitted to being 10 years old so either they're too young for the board or they're an imp.

Ban would be too harsh.

We need to start restricting registration/membership. And also yeah, come on, if we're banning people for immaturity, this is kind of textbook.

There's no real age limit. Registrations are allowed when you are under 13 according to the FAQ and rules if a parent had allowed it. I doubt she had done this but no one can prove it.

people that young shouldn't post here under any circumstances.

if a person saw any of us talking to angel in real life they'd call the police.

how about we ban her under the "your username can't be a common first name" rule?

As long as we don't do anything inappropriate to her no one could blame us.

If you want to ban her, do it for like two or three years but seeing as she doesn't quite get what's going on on a forum she might eventually just create a new account.

Or just simply leave it up to Goat, he's the admin after all.

Dude we already have to pussyfoot around the whole fucking Clinton drama, the last thing we want is some little girl roaming around the board, stumbling onto something she shouldn't see at her age.

Even if she's banned she can still browse the forums so banning her doesn't prevent her from doing it. I was like the first one to tell her that she should leave and this is an inappropriate forum for her, but she does not listen. She came back from like a 2 day break or something after being upset about he we try to be her parents. She is a kid and will not listen to what some people on the forums say. Let the Goat or the mods handle it, it's THEIR responsibility to check this sort of stuff. The only thing we can do is to be nice and polite so that in case something happens we cannot be held responsible for doing anything towards her.

First of all, there's a huge difference between just reading a forum and actually posting on it and interacting with people on it.
Secondly, by allowing her to keep the account on here we're basically encouraging her to browse this forum. Banning her is the only reasonable thing to do right now

We have to wait for Goat anyway. But we all sure fucked this one up:
A website dedicated to software for kids is forbidding kids. Not wanting to blame you or anything though, all happened over time but at this point we might as well just close registrations once and for all? If this is more about the community within 3dmm.com and less about the program.

3d movie maker is probably old enough that people can't even realistically 'get into it' anymore.

i agree, banning would be a good idea.

she seems like a cute kid and everything, but yes, this forum could easily warp any ten year old. even the seemingly innocuous discussions about dating and sex -- that just isn't good for ten-year-olds.

plus, the whole point of a 3dmm online community was to take a completely absurd piece of software -- one which is AWFUL if you use it the way it was intended to be used -- and use it to make unspeakable filth. like, as soon as 3dmm was made into an online community, people were using it to make weird porn-simulation films and find ways to make blood and guts look more and more impressive. that's not for ten-year-olds.

i first explored 3dmm when i was 12, and when i saw andrew murphy's the watchtower, that was pretty disturbing for me, even though it's laughable now. and two years is a huge difference when you're prepubescent, even if girls mature faster than boys.

I think the mods tried to set a precedent with clinton and this is pretty much what it came down to. Trying to accommodate a 10 yro (if its true) would be quite frankly, ludicrous.

I don't really feel comfortable interacting how we normally would on here knowing there's a 10 year old around, and i'm sure i'm the not the only one.

We already lost half of the active community due to the way the clinton saga was handled, and i can only see it getting worse unless this is dealt with. And by dealt with i mean banned. I don't really care if they haven't done anything wrong or broke the rules. When has that ever been the case? Just ban them for their own good, and also the community as a whole.
