3DMMers success etc.

Just randomly thought I'd check the 3dmm.com forums today (something I do every 2-3 years or so, can't seem to let it go) and thought it was awesome to see that quite a few of the old school 3dmmers are having some success in the real world. Congrats to Jason Ruiz and Crazy Ivan, incredible stuff! Some friends posted a video of some Key & Peele stuff on my wall and I found it pretty funny, so was amazed to see that it was directed by someone on here.

Just wanted to add in a little plug for my band as well. We're called An Blonds, and we've just signed a management deal with Warp Management after getting quite a bit of interest on the music blogs over here in the UK, and are in talks with quite a few labels. You can check out some of our songs here: http://soundcloud.com/an-blonds

I imagine it won't be everyone's thing, but just thought it'd be nice to pass it on! Also, we're looking to do a pretty simple video for one of our tracks which would just involve editing loads of clips from Twin Peaks together. Basic and boring, I know, but if anyone is interested drop me a line at: anblonds@gmail.com

Would be awesome to hear what everyone else here actually does in real life as well?? I'm pretty out of touch, so apologies if there's been a thread for this sort of thing already!

his username makes me think of the name Nathan Antwerp, which is familiar for some reason.

also your soundcloud profile icon is a mega rip-off of IN RAINBOWS, maybe you should put something more original/unique up there. nice music though.

as for me at the moment i've got a deathbulge webcomic site going at the moment. the link is in my sig. friday's is when i add a new comic. and monday is when i update the interactive comic, where there's a guy called bovril, and what he does depends entirely on what people say he should do in the comments section.

Sorry, my name is Nathan Standlee. I was probably most active on here around 2000-2001, though I only ever released like 2 movies. One was Guerilla Warfare, which I never finished, and like a 20 second 'Sniper At...' movie. Pretty lame output, and pretty shit movies when I watch them now! But was good times.

Yeah, get the In Rainbows thing a lot, so gonna change that asap.

Site sounds awesome Dan, will be watching out for the new comic on Friday.

I remember guerilla warfare! There was the dude with the paper bag on his head, and he was in a tree! Detailed jungle. It was very suspenseful and short. Anything you can tell us about making that movie, like why you didn't finish it?

I'm a partner at a company of about 60 people which I guess isn't a TV show or anything but it's pretty neat!

Listening to your music now, cool so far!

Really like it! Are you the singer?

Can hear more and/or order our EP on cassette here: http://twistedtaperecordings.bandcam...tation-to-love

As for Guerilla Warfare, I can't remember why I didn't finish it....I think it may have been around the time where I really started taking music a bit more seriously and 3DMM just went on the back-burner from that point.

I live in the UK, but I'm American. So the flag is correct!

Handmade limited cassette releases is the sexiest of all worlds.
