3DMM Minecraft Texture Pack

I was thinking of making my own texture pack as most I see kinda suck, and considering the wealth of textures in 3DMM, it might be possible to make a 3DMM themed pack. Now I haven't been around the forums in a while, so I'm kind of out of the loop. But has anyone dumped all the 3DMM textures at any point? Because that'd make things a LOT easier. Otherwise I guess I'd have to go in with 3DMM pencil and locate/extract them manually, I think. I don't know; I'm a wee bit rusty.

I don't know if that's been done, but I'd definitely mess around with the texture pack minecraft if you did that.

Cool idea!

I definitely recognize the grass. Is the the dirt and stone a pile of squashed cubes, or the ***** technique?

It looks like a pile of spheres for the dirt.
Cubes for the stone... but probably spheres too.

I think you're making it a bit too detailed to be 3dmm. Looks more like that game that uses the same rendering as 3dmm. But either way it looks pretty cool.

It is cubes, yeah. It'll be a bit more 3dmm-looking when I've done more than just like four textures.

Also in-case nobody had noticed, the grass texture is the tent.

I would never have guessed in a million years that those were 3dmm textures.

the textures for the totems/tents are all in the expansion pack textures, i remember when i first realised that nearly all the expansion textures in frankie wiendels expansion pack were from textures already made within the program, like the purple spirally stuff that gustave venie and randolph wear, and other stuff

I might change the dirt texture to a circle of *****; it doesn't look quite right.

Also, more progress! I have done the entire top row of terrain.png.

there's some good sand and ground textures in the original expansion pack, or are you trying to stick to only textures that were in vanilla 3dmm? in that case i think the sand texture was actually used in the original props, namely the mouth of totem pole #2, so you would still be KEEPING IT REAL if you used that

I was trying to make it look like vanilla 3dmm, yeah. Well, possibly including doraemon and nickelodeon. Also that black totem teeth texture looks more like bone than sand, there's a lot of grey in the texture.

Speaking of sand, anyone have any ideas for it?

ahhh go on just use it, if not, there's a couple of good sand textures lower down in the expansions folder if you're really desperate

If I use a mix of the peach gradient over a layer of the teeth texture, do you reckon that's cheating? It's still kinda obvious where it's from.

EDIT: No good. From a distance the tiling makes it look like the desert is made of plaid.

EDIT2: I'm in #3dmm, if you bum biters want to join me in figuring shit out in real-time.

I done made the sand texture!

Also the totem texture doesn't tile too well. I'll see if I can fix it if people don't like it.

Nice work. I guess stone would be the side of the safe?
Also, 3dmm treasure chests are going to look incredible.

I want to see some 3DMM character skins. I'm kind of surprised no one's made one before now.
