The Master

Has anyone else seen this trailer for the new Paul Thomas Anderson film?

This is probably one of my top 3 most highly-anticipated films. PSH is my favourite actor, Phoenix looks fantastic in the teaser, plus I'm not gonna say no to the first Paul Thomas Anderson movie in five goddamn years.

it's been long enough Anderson. I can't wait. You can instantly tell it's Jonny Greenwood again too (p.s. seeing Radiohead Monday)

That was a big hoax for the documentary "I'm Still Here". It was revealed not long after that premiered in 2010.

Trailer #2, much better trailer IMO.
It looks like it really captures how Scientology was started.

p.s. anyone REALLY sick of these political ads on youtube?

Another trailer, albeit for tonight's 70mm screening in Chicago. How gorgeous is that music?

Really not looking forward to seeing South Park's unintentional sugar coating of Scientology being propagated amongst hipsters again.

I can't say I was a big fan of this movie. It's well made, the performances are really good, great cinematography...but when the movie ended I just kind of shrugged my shoulders and didn't know how to feel. I had no concept of what the movie was trying to say, nor did I particularly care for any of the characters.

Ching you are basically right but the first 2 hours are so amazing that I didn't really mind too much that the last 20 minutes don't tie anything up or make the movie about anything more than "welp, Freddie sure is fucked up"
