What are you working on right now?

Thought this might be a good thread to get some more discussion going around here?

Whatever it is, whether it's music, a movie, drawings, etc (ok or the second season of a comedy show endorsed by the fucking President Of The United States! fucking hell) - what are you working on at the moment, how's it going and when are you going to release it?

We're close to beginning production on season 2 of Key & Peele. Right now we're doing heavy pre-production on the show, next week we have our first production meeting and our tech scouts, then on the 21st we begin shooting, and we'll be in production until July 20th. Then we go into post, shoot our live stuff in late August, and begin airing on September 26th at 10:30, right after South Park.

Way to fucking kill a thread, Peter. Also: The Rig was recommended to me by a video store clerk in my town. I did not follow his recommendation, and instead hired Tin Tin. And it was terrible. So there! ... or something.

Anyway, I'm working on a series of short stories - all apart of a singular narrative - and completing pencil drawings for each one. At some point soon I'll let some people who's opinion I trust read them over and see if I'm any good at this "writing" thing.

I'm also working on two games at the moment.
The first is aimed at the XBL Indie Channel. It's a 2D Side Scrolling ARPG, and is quite a bit along in development.
The second is for the Windows Phone market. It's a Sci-Fi RogueLike, and I'm still working on the basic systems - currently refining my A* methods.

I'm a fair bit better at making games than writing, I suspect. We'll see which one pans out.

LOL I know too well about that!

Anyway to [pointlessly, THANKS PETE] contribute to this thread, I've mentioned a game a few times on this board so I'll mention it "officially" here: it's a puzzle/action game for the Windows Phone 7 that should be coming out next month or so (I've said that for months, lol, but this shit just takes time).

Speaking of, Don, can you help me beta test this? Should have a beta test by June. To trade I'll beta test your game.

I too am working on a game! Should be done soon I hope, all I've got left to make is the hi-score screen and the intro story sequence. Though It's all a bit up in the air at the moment cause the programmer I was teamed up with has exams so he's backed out for now and waiting for them to get another programmer on board to help finish it. It's an endless survival/shooter game, but you don't kill anyone, HO HO!!!!

Also yeah, been doing a lot of stuff for the DEATHBULGE webcomic project that I've recently posted on here. Got my friend Rory making the website for me and quite excited to get it all up and running.

Also uh uh ... I showed Obama one of the comics and he thought it was so great that they might make it the new USA flag.

Aaron and I are working on a series of children's books. Been in progress for well over a year now, yet still many more months before a completed copy.

I have some activity books completed for a local nonprofit, with some more educational books likely following.

Officially producing labels and box artwork for a startup brewery in the region. Still working on the designs, however.

Hahaha, man - when I first had it deployed it ran anywhere between 10-20 FPS. I'm so used to having the excess resources of my PC that it was shock to the system.
But, now that I'm knee deep in it, it's waaay more fun to code for something like my Lumia 800. The limitations just force you to design and write better methods, and really plan out your data flow to minimise everything - it's the best challenge I've had in years.

Sounds good to me man, always happy to help. Just let me know what you need. I'm hoping to have my RogueLike ready for testing around the end of the year. No idea on my XBLIC, though.

@Dan:
Nice man, when can we get a look-see? What are you making it in?

lol, yep, one of the big ones on .NET is to minimize garbage collection. I can give you tips on easy ways to profile GC's, memory, and even speed. And how to improve all three. PM me or post in my (well not mine, but me and magocs basically hijacked it) code thread any time.

I'm finishing my first year of uni in a couple of weeks and I'll have like 4 months holiday to do whatever I like, so I'm hoping to get back into making music. I used to do it a lot when I was about 15 but it just sort of faded out when work got on top of me. So yeah, it'll be super fun to start doing that again.

Also, I've weirdly found myself doing a ton of voice acting for different people lately. I don't advertise at all but I've been contacted out of the blue several times. So yeah, I've done voices for two shorts that are being animated right now that should be finished by autumn and two machinimas (that will probably be shit) which are almost done, last I heard.

Haha, after posting that I immediately realised that I was the dick. It's awesome how well that's going. Like, straight after South Park? That's great.

You kept this quiet. That's awesome. Can you hazard a guess at when it'll be done?

I'm working on our last assignment for this school year before moving on to the second year which is 3D film production. The assignment is to make an animation using a character rig, lasting no longer than 60 seconds. My concept is some random rooftop chase scene with a protagonist being chased by two suits. My knowledge of animation from my time with 3dmm is proving to be a great asset.

Been flirting with the idea of doing a webcomic for a while now. Hopefully gonna get crackin' on just generating some kind of output soon. Got an album cover to design for Rubin as well.

Editing/DVD authoring a burlesque show I filmed last summer. Going to be showing it Tuesday night so that wraps that up.

Then I've been hired to film another show that is already started running, so I need to get that organized within the next three weeks.

Then I'm doing some 3D effects for a production of The Tempest. They have a projector going through a special glass plate so I need to render out some "spirits dancing" which is due mid June.

Hobby projects include a video game or two, and a mini-3D animation.

I'm also working on a script to try and shoot this summer - possibly. But doubtful. But sitll working on the script.

The biggest thing Missing did for me was get me funding to do my first feature. We're currently casting and and doing location location scouting and will be shooting later this summer. Half-way through a 2nd draft on the script. Will probably do one more pass as far as revisions go before we shoot. Overall, though, I'm very happy with how the script turned out (horror / suspense) and can't wait to start shooting this thing.

I'm also producing a short film directed by a friend / business associate of mine. We shoot this weekend and should have a finished product by September. Its going to be heavily stylized so it should be fun.

Making a 50x70 cm drawing and woodprint based on a painting by Klimt, where I replace all the persons with musicians of Impulse Records (also known as The House That Trane Built) during its primetime. Working on a few preparatory sketches to figure out the composition (someone spilled coffee on it).
