The Tin Can Spaceship
Plot Summary:
Three aliens get stranded on Earth after a human is accidentally beamed aboard. I posted this video under my YouTube account name "V3Ryan" which coincidentally belongs to someone else who used 3Dmm.com, so please don't confuse this with something he made. :P

Enjoy.

Haha this was good! I loved the tractor beam gag especially, as well as the translator changing the cafe name, and your voice acting was really well done. It dragged a little at times, but never enough to make me lose interest, and while I thought the ending got a little too ridiculous and drawn out, on the whole I enjoyed it. I hope you stick around and keep making stuff!

Also, this was a really good use of v3dmm. I almost feel like a movie like this could only have been made by someone basically outside the community - instead of using v3dmm as a complement to what is still essentially pre-expansion style 3dmming, this uses it to create a completely different type of movie. This doesn't have any complex animations or any hand-made scenery at all and (no offense) probably didn't take all that long to make, but just the simple use of v3dmm backgrounds and such give it an entirely different feel than "typical newbie movie." Obviously movies like Mean Bread or An Important Historical Film have also used v3dmm in a way entirely different from traditional 3dmming, but in those cases it was for complex artistic purposes, whereas here it's basically a tool to be able to throw together a quick movie without it looking like something from 1998. Why don't more people do this?

That was really good! Agreeing with the Phil, the tractor and restaurant name parts were my favorite and also the reveal of Bongo standing in the snow watching the huge TV made me laugh, as well as the flashback to them all squeezed inside the tin can ship.

I wasn't crazy about the whole "turning into other people" at the end, though the turning into the car, trash can etc was pretty funny.

Very funny film overall. And again, good job with the voice acting.

voice acting was good, story was decent, overall a fairly good movie. Better than anything I've done.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate constructive criticism too. Dragging things on is one of my weaknesses. I'm presently working on a sort of sequal thing. So far it's not as funny as the original, but it's still goofy and random. Expect the title "The Space Cat" if I don't change it before posting it.

Hahaha. This was funny from the word go when they hit the windscreen as they slowed down from warp speed. I loved the cramped shot inside the tin can spaceship and the little notification to download the transporter coordinates tickled me too. I even laughed out loud at "the Pine Cone Store" and the robot repeating the beeps for some reason. And yeah "French Cafe" and the tractor beam were both very clever.

I agree that it went on longer than it should have done. You could really have ended it when Kim crashed the spaceship back on Earth. The "I'm the real Mr Poppins" thing was funny in places but, again, went on for a little too long.

But overall, I really enjoyed this. The voice acting was good and there were some good plotlines in there. I think I might have preferred Space Cat overall. Either way, keep making stuff like this although aim for something a little shorter next time. Maybe try your hand at custom scenery.

I feel bad for Denny Betterman, cause he did an excellent tractor beam gag near the end of 5DMM, but i think like, only one person picked up on it cause it was a time before v3dmm and all these models so denny had to make his own tractor, i thought it looked great but i guess it wasn't identifiable enough. UNDISCOVERED GENIUS RIGHT THERE.

But yeah this movie like your other one, as other people have said, goood voice acting (except chipmunk bongo if i'm being honest), had some clever moments, you have a great grasp on humour, but once again, I ended up skipping through cause of the length I feel like a bit of a hypocrit with my 25 minute HMIA movie, hell, the 5DMM movie i just mentioned is about 50 minutes long.

I guess when it comes to 3dmm these days i only have the span to watch short silly little movies.

My chipmunk Bongo was a gag inspired by Stargate SG1, in which some aliens encountered on that show had a menicing deep voice.
