Posttting 6: The Tower

An insane architect has built a tower. How high does it go, and how low?

Viewing Thread: http://www.3dmm.com/showthread.php?t=42793

THE RULES:
-The tower is a continuous structure, but what it's built out of can change. The only thing that needs to stay consistent is the gradual change of the sky (or ground) as it keeps going.
-This posttting can be extended either up or down. Call in advance whether you want above or below.
-Don't take more than a few days to finish.
-Must be PNG format, no compression.
-Width is 800 pixels, height can be anything.
-Horizontal gradients are okay for the background, but avoid really fuzzy brushes or photoshop effects that would make it too hard for someone else to continue the image smoothly.
-Have fun!

P.S. For anyone curious, all of the shadows on mine are done with solid black on a multiply layer set to 30% opacity. You can easily replicate them with solid colors, too. There's a slight gradient in the blue part of the sky.

If you can't do gradients, you can still participate! Just use the solid color that matches the border of the image you're continuing.

Pretty sure Paint.NET fucked up all my colours in the last Posttting but I'm definitely up for this. Gonna be hella busy this week so I won't call a spot just yet.

Russ, get us a PNG of that thing.

We can still use this, the compression just looks nasty and it'd be better if they were all PNG.
