NOTE - This might have some spoilers, so I wouldn't read it before actually reading the script...
That was really weird, but not bad. I was kind of confused about the relationships between the three guys. I couldn't tell if they were all three friends, or Alex was just a mutual friend and Mike and Phil didn't like eachother much. Either way, I kinda felt that the way they ripped into eachother at the beginning wasn't that realistic, at a time like that. Not that big of a deal, but it was sorta confusing for the beginning of the story.
The thing I liked most about it was the things surrounding the suicide the characters were discussing, the debate and the drunken comment. The way they talked about those seemed really believable. The only part of this I didn't like was Phil saying that Alex went to all of his debates. Having a character who dies be really kind and angelic is sorta cliche. The fact that everything else they say about him is positive is fine, since you're not gonna be badmouthing a guy who just died, but going to all of the debates just seemed a little excessive. Maybe student debates are more exciting than I think of them, but I'd think attending them would be a sacrifice, and going to every one seems unfeasible. Not a big thing, I just thought it made Alex seem like a slightly less believable character.
I don't really have any other criticisms, I thought it was quite good, and original, I've never read anything like it. I'd encourage you to go ahead and film this somehow, maybe just with a couple friends and a DV cam, since it'd have no budget at all and would be relatively easy to do.
