Hahaha, this is so true.

Like, every big city has its drugs and gangs but in the vast majority of places, you can keep well out of trouble if you really want to.

Red Scorpion on self-defense:

REALLY?! That's the advice you give to someone for self-defense?! You've had like 15 years of martial arts experience and YOU SAID THAT SENTENCE. Unreal.

Look you guys...close quarters combat situation on the street, somebody's giving you a hard time, trying to stick you up...just chuck their shit. Boom, it's over.

REALLY?!?!

Alright, say that Yoshi here is a mugger. First order of business, you're gonna wrap both of your arms completely around him and try to slam him. Definitely gonna want to make this more of a grappling-bout right off the bat.

WHO THE FUCK WOULD SAY THAT?!

It is COMPLETELY OBVIOUS TO EVERYONE that you're just trying to sound like a badass, rather than react pragmatically in a real-life combat situation

training for a 4 minute mile: make sure you train as much on speed (sprints) as you do for high-endurance (jogging/ running at a submaximal speed) and if you can guage it, even throw in 75% sprints and train at each end of the spectrum in seperate training sessions. Leg power + endurance = cutting time off your mile. When running at a submaximal speed, I never go further than maybe 2 miles. I have very little interest in super high-endurance training and don't see it as necessary to what I want to achieve.

Flounder I need video proof that you ran a 4 minute mile or I will assume you never actually hit 4 minutes.

yeah you never did. but its cool that you came somewhere close to it. i was never good at short distance running... less than 2 miles and anyone can beat me, but over 3 miles and i'm decent
