merge art gallery with off-topic req

Merging art gallery with off topic would be a really good idea right now, as you can see people are starting to make threads about what they have made in off topic now due to anyone hardly checking the art gallery, it would get peoples things more noticed and also hopefully encourage people to make more stuff as well, thanks

It really bugs me when Art Gallery stuff gets posted in Off Topic, sure you'll get the views but the Art Gallery's there for a reason. people know its there, we just need to grab peoples attention and get them back in there if some are genuinely just NOT looking there for whatever reason

now we've got mods just leaving Cade's thread in there and Dr Ashworth threatening to just bypass the Art Gallery as well with a pretty big release by two 3dmm'ers. He says he will if Cade's sets precedent when there shouldn't even be a question of it doing so, it should have just been moved straight there and we shouldn't even be having that discussion.

what does need discussing though is getting people to actually go to the art gallery if it's not being merged. Either with CoW (making it the Best Damn Pet Shop In Town) or with Off-Topic. and even if it's merged with CoW you'll get people still going "oh I don't look in there, therefore I don't have to post in it."

you can't really merge the art gallery with the CoW. there's really no overlap at all there. what that option would mean is getting rid of the CoW and retooling the art gallery to include...whatever stuff "the best pet shop in town" would have. since the CoW is the best of the steakhouse/hotbox incarnations, there seems no reason to do that. just merge it back into off-topic and whatever "best pet shop in town" content there would have been can go there.
