I hate when people try to come off doing that, they try to be cool, they fail miserably. They try to fit in and fail miserably, so since they can't get anybody to like them they intentionally are annoying and think that's an acceptable way to be on this board, if you're not cool or hip just fucking shut up and either try to redeem your respect gradually or leave this place.

Yeah it's not "real life," like talking to someone face to face, but it doesn't mean you aren't talking to real people. You shouldn't disregard the fact that these threads are usually filled with (usually) intellegent conversation or maybe even a debate or two. I mean you have to admit that this is kinda a SOCIAL board. Wanting to be accepted isn't a bad thing in most cases.

But anyway I don't have any gripes with Doughboy. He's usually cool I guess. Maybe I'm just not noticing what Taco is though...

Edit: Ah. I just read that thread and yeah Doughboy you didn't have to be a dick.

See, that's the thing. Taco isn't pretencious, because he is better than you, and thus is deserving of the position of power is demands.

The key word is ACTING, which means that you are portraying that you are better than people, when in fact, you are not. There's nothing wrong with thinking that you're better than somebody when you ARE, that's called arrogance, and it's AWESOME.
