Why is there no sig filter?

It seems like disallowing any sig that didn't include the string [img](some URL)[/img] would not only keep dumb newbies from screwing this up all the time, but be a big hindrance to spambots - they all seem to have sigs consisting of links to, well, whatever they're spamming. Seems like an easy fix that'd help two problems (one of which is a big enough deal to get the site flagged as dangerous by Firefox, after all)
