Henry vs. S'Kelly 3
Ben Rice's Avatar
Plot Summary:
The awaited third movie of the series is finally here! The story continues and the plot thickens as S'Kelly escapes from Hell to start his own television show, while Henry is sent back to Earth by the Devil to bring him back, for the price of being reunited with his beloved family. Will he succeed? Let's find out...

It's here at last!!

Long overdue due to other movies, Tuna taking MONTHS to do the final lines and the idea for the ending being completely changed and stuff but nevermind, it's done and ready for viewing.

Directed by myself, Tuna, Denny (the only three to be in all three HVS3 films!) and introducing new contributors; Orcus, Trooper and Cubert. It has been an honor working with you guys and despite the frustrations to get this done, it's been fun doing this. Almost half the ending was made in less than a week so I'm pretty exhausted now. I certainly hope you all enjoy watching this.

It is suggested that you watch the first two HVS films before this if you havent done so;

5 Day Chain Movie: Henry vs. S'Kelly
Henry vs. S'Kelly 2

Additional mirrors will be much apprecited.

Vimeo: Apologies for the occasional lagginess throughout the video, a better version will hopefully be posted soon.

Uh-oh. I'm getting some sort of error at scene 77 frame 7, and a few other times too. I've reinstalled v3dmm recently so I might have fucked something up at my end. Anyway, I skipped the occaisional frame and managed to watch it all.

Cubert's fight scene was great.
I laughed so hard at pretty much everything Orcus did.
Tuna, omg you kicked ass with the way you animated S'Kelly.
The ending was completely epic. Loving the Sandford cameo in heaven.
All I can say for my part is that I feel pretty dumb about that completely unexplained scene change to those mountains. The rest of the movie followed a pretty good story without having Chain-Movie-style unexplainable moments, but I kinda blotted the record on that part.
So yeah, feeling pretty critical about my part, but I loved the rest of it. Congrats to everyone who worked on this. It was totally worth the wait.

I.....holy shit.

In general that was pretty entertaining. Good to see some actual use of an actor font and it's rare to see any attempt at lip sync for Doraemon. Some scenes here and there like the dolls cutaway made me chuckle as well.

The finale caught me off guard. I think it pretty much overshadows the rest of the movie. The final few shots might have been a bit close to the Doctor Who cliffhanger from which inspiration was obviously drawn, but honestly spectacular use of the soundtrack in the whole heaven scene. Tuna's voice acting seriously brought it down though. If he could have snapped out of "Silly Mode" just for a second, the scene would have worked so much better.

I got the same crash first time I watched, but I haven't been able to repeat it. I thought it was just me.

if you mean the actor font stuff, like S'Kelly reattaching himself etc. that was actually me

Thanks for the comments so far, I've been trying to get this on vimeo but the file size is too big by like 36mb As for youtube, I could try but it would require re-recording it all from scratch again, virtual dub, goldwave, making it into two parts (or even three) etc. and it'll take me like hours cos my computer is a slow piece of crap atm if someone else would like to take a crack at it that'd be brilliant, also can a mod please edit the directors list with tuna, denny, orcus, trooper and cubert.

Fantastic.

[edit] nevermind, thanks to dan the video issues should be sorted out, I'll hopefully have the vimeo version up in the morning.

I figured it might be a problem with the upload, it's the original movie file not a backup which works fine on my end. I downloaded it myself and no problems for me. Sorry but I have no idea about that. A video version should be up by tomorrow though, sorry for the inconvenience lads.

Haha, "look how sharp my finger-bones are"
Also the voice syncing with the doraemon cat made me lol.
"with your host boney skeleton bone"
haha, i love how orcus kills that annoying host as soon as his turn starts
This movie needs more music.
Haha, trooper's part is great.
hahaha, the terrorist all shooting each other was a great idea.
Ben rice, I really like how you used the actor fonts.

Fantastic film. I actually sat on this for a little while without doing anything, which I now regret, because this was awesome, especially ben's whole last scene. You're by far the best active animator in the community right now, dude. If there's a fourth one, I'll definitely want to be a part of it.

No crashes or anything for me, but I emptied my expansions folder before I started watching it.

Just wanna give big props to everyone involved and bigger props to Ben Rice. As stated in the credits, he was pretty much the reason why this movie was even made in the first place. He also put together the final scene pretty damn quickly after I handed him all my FANTASTIC LINES! pogo is gay... but I get what you're saying. However, my final lines were not as silly. I think the music that Ben chose was poor (for the lines I provided for him). They didn't go together that well and I think it was just a case of us thinking 2 different tones for the end. He went with more of a "omg dramatic" and I was thinking more "wtf is going on"... if that makes any sense. Maybe I'm just making excuses and being nitpicky, but there you go.

Loved being part of this. My favourite part was Orcus'. He did an amazing job with the shit I left for him, haha. Ben Rice's animation was also top notch. I laughed real hard Cubert's Henry falling down the mountain just when the music stops. I also loved Troopers scene because (and I'm not meaning to be insulting by saying this) I assume Trooper is somewhat of a "newb" at 3dmm? And I thought he did a great job at not showing any lack of skill he may have with the program. Part of the "rule" to this series is to send it off to the next person pretty quickly. The Polaroid montage of Henry/Skelly date was perfect. Especially for this type of movie.

BUT YEAH, LOVED BEING PART OF THIS!

I liked the DD reference and also there was no use of actor fonts, there aren't even any expansions loaded related to actor fonts. It's just the different body parts for the S'kelly Big Movie 2 thing.

I really enjoyed that! One of my main gripes is that I purposely left a lot of my scenes a second or too long because I didn't know how long the voices were going to be. A lot of them could be cut down by 5 or 6 frames but I guess it's too late now.

I really liked what people did with the rest of the story but the one standout is definitely Ben. I'm so impressed with his animating that I want him to release a full movie.

That might be my fault. I swear 3dmm runs faster on my computer (Goat recorded Immunity to put on vimeo and there's a bunch of sound-timing issues)... but on my computer everything in HVS3 is timed appropriately .

If that's the case Tuna you maybe up for recording a vimeo version, I'll have one put up soon but I had to compress the movie file loads so it's gonna be abit laggy n' stuff, not too bad hopefully still watchable until YOU can do the BETA.

when I first recieved the movie after your second part, watching that scene there was originally no music, figured it might be alot funnier WITH so I stole a lil' bit of music from Wrestlemania 5000, it kinda matched the scene plus it ended at the perfect moment. I just love the animation of Henry falling down that mountain, specifically the long shot hahaha

Quite suprised by the positivity in the comments so far, thanks very much guys!

[edit] vimeo added, apologies for the lags guys, there will hopefully be a better version up soon.

Yeah, that's not too far off. I might argue with the word "Newb" but, yeah, I'm certainly no pro; the best sort of thing I can muster right now is the ending section of Skeleton Invasion. I'd definitely argue that I'm half-decent with the program, but nowhere near as good as the rest of the directors involved in this movie. So yeah, thanks man.

Wow! Rewatching these HvSes and now the third one...it's amazing how much fun watching those two go at it is, it just doesn't get old. Ben, your ending was just awesome. Cubert's fight was great and the mountain bit made me laugh. All of this was just so good. Count me in for the next one!

Amusing!

Devil playing with dolls and the ending were my favorite parts.

Also I love that Tuna does all the voices.

I liked this! It was surprisingly consistent for a chain movie, felt like everybody was on the same page for once. It has the strengths of a chain movie where there's a variety of ideas due to the people involved, but not as much of the weakness, where it just bounces all over the place and has no master plot. I hadn't seen the second one, but I picked up on it quickly enough.

More comments to come (I made notes)
